In .net, CIL bytecode is compiled to machine code in runtime. In 2018 I worked for a cyber security company and we stumbled upon a method that hides a malicious C# code by making all variables 'dynamic'. Even when decompiled, it is obfuscated because 'dynamic' is sintactic sugar
