Throughout the decades, I have had the privilege of working alongside many of you on the emergencies, conflicts, and crises impacting the last, the least, and the lost in our world. Your unshakeable commitment to people has made progress on the issues that matter most. I want to thank you for your service, for your expertise, your compassion, and for your deep sense of mission.

Local issues are not partisan issues. I am opposed to establishing political parties at the municipal level. There are many pressing issues that require a collaborative approach to municipal governance, and local elected officials need to be able to work across partisan lines. Our Provincial government should focus on the issues that matter to Edmontonians, such as paying their fair share of property taxes, instead of these changes that will create division and more red tape. I sat down to share some of my thoughts. #yegcc

Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit. I am glad that we are all together, and that this format – the joint work of Ukraine and countries of South-Eastern Europe – is active and meaningful. By working together, supporting one another, and building common security, defense, economic, political, and cultural ties, we make it possible for each of our nations – and for every nation in Europe – to preserve our identity and freely shape our own future. I am grateful to you for your readiness to continue supporting our fight for independence. And I deeply value our joint work – bilaterally, through formats such as the Coalition of the Willing, and through other multilateral formats.

I held a meeting with our foreign affairs team. We are planning our international agenda for February. The key priorities are partner unity, which is the foundation of everything, and coordination on the European direction. Everyone on the continent should remember: if global issues are resolved without Europe, it will leave Europe with decisions that most Europeans are certain not to like. This applies, in particular, to matters of war and peace—the war that Russia started and the peace we must force Russia to accept—together. We need to do more together, both for defense and for economic growth.
