The #Kharkiv city of 1.5 million inhabitants was left without light, water supply and heating. The #Dnipro dam was attacked - after numerical claims that the #Kakhovka dam was allegedly undermined by Ukraine. This is what the West embassies should be expressing condolences about.

Our responsibility is not only to bring relief today, but to build a modern energy system Bahamians can depend on tomorrow. These are the investments we are making. This is the work we are doing. The first targets those who betrayed Ukraine, and the second focuses on Russia’s military production—those legal entities and individuals working to fuel terror. We will continue to make our sanctions, our pressure on the enemy, synchronized with everyone in the world who, like Ukrainians, wants real peace. Russian murderers and torture chambers are unable to march further into Europe because they are being held back by Ukrainians holding arms under the blue and yellow flag. There used to be many white walls of houses and churches in Ukraine, but they have now been burned and damaged by Russian shells. This speaks volumes about who needs to stop for the war to end. Everyone who defends life and people is carrying out the most honourable mission possible in the face of such an inhumane invasion. And we must fully protect life in our home. I am grateful to everyone who supports our defense and defenders. When Russian evil launched this war on February 24th, 2022, all Ukrainians rose up to defend their country. Christians, Muslims, Jews — everyone. And I am grateful to each chaplain who is with the army, in our defense forces, on the frontlines, protecting life and humanity. Those who support others through prayer, conversation, and actions. This is what the Church is: one with the people. Not two and a half thousand kilometers away—somewhere, looking for a virtual meditation between those who want to live and those who want to destroy you. Kharkiv needs a robust defense. There is a solution to Russia's constant terror: we need additional air defense systems and missiles. The world has no right to remain indifferent while Russia deliberately destroys the city on a daily basis and murders people in their homes. Ukraine needs greater air defense. All day today—following the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih—every effort has been made in the city to save lives. Some of the wounded, those in critical condition, were transported to Dnipro. Doctors are doing their utmost to save as many lives as possible. I am grateful to everyone involved in this effort—those who responded immediately and those still helping. This strike is one of the darkest chapters for Kryvyi Rih. Tragically, 18 people were killed, including 9 children. The youngest was just 3 years old. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Last night and today, many around the world voiced their position in response to this strike—a clear rejection of Russian terror. To everyone who sees this and does not close their eyes, who speaks the truth clearly and directly—not only we in Ukraine, but the entire world should be grateful. Staying silent about the fact that it is Russia killing children with ballistic missiles is wrong and dangerous. It only emboldens the scum in Moscow to continue the war and keep ignoring diplomacy. Weakness has never ended a war. That’s why I’m thankful to every country whose representatives have spoken out—leaders, foreign ministers, embassies. A Russian ballistic missile targeting the street of an ordinary city, striking residential buildings—and after that, an additional drone strike. One more person killed, more people wounded. Russia must be held accountable for everything it has done. There must be real pressure—without wasting time on empty talk—to finally end this war.

The upcoming Peace Summit in Switzerland must demonstrate that it is not up to one side to unilaterally decide how everyone in the world should live, nor up to brute force, but rather up to the world majority, working together and based on international law and the UN Charter, to decide how to restore full force to international law. I am grateful to every state leader, as well as all political and civil society leaders, who assist us in organizing the summit. Today, I held a few meetings on this topic, and I am grateful to our entire team for working to fully implement the Peace Formula. We will be doing more on this in the coming days and weeks. Together, all of us in the world must force Russia into making peace.
