I built an app for my phone which simulates the Morse code audio cues from the old (1930’s to 1960’s) four course radio range system, so I could try navigating like old pilots. Pilots used to steer across the country using audio. The software reads your location and creates... show more

What do I mean about “new software” for our air traffic control system? We have an old operating system from the 1990s. I can put a brand new app on an old operating system, but it won’t work as efficiently. My new app is SMART. I can operate SMART on that old operating system, but I want a new operating system so I can give new tools to the air traffic controllers and FAA staff ✈️ That’s the $10 billion we need from Congress Senator Eric Schmitt

I'm still exploring what I can do with Jev but I made this little app which does the following - talk about your day (or anything really) - audio gets transcribed to text - text is parsed for cues across 12 colours linked to an emotion [a logic I fed into this app for Jev to use] - a painting is drawn with code in JavaScript using the colours Jev thinks suits the transcript cues well - canvas has an underlying MIDI [utilises Tone.js] - watch your words turn into a painting which turns into a melody. App uses TypeSafe AI for Jev's colour + emotion inferences, Google Gemini for audio transcription, Claude for the JavaScript painting code, ChatGPT for front end UI refinement.

Fable is a BEAST! I had it rebuild the Elgato prompter app so that voice mode could work better. My version isnt perfect yet but it's crushing Elgato's imo. For the first 1min 30secs I use their app, afterwards I use mine. (sorry for the phone audio, main mic was in use)

The original inflation version I wanted to do was based on the old "Double D Gum" skit from the 90s. It looked kinda weird and you'd have to have seen the original to understand it. So I added a bubble and used the other version as the main inflation version.

The rumors are true. I did have to defend my home from an intruder. I’m glad we all are safe and that God gave me the skills and the tools to do so.

Well that's an embarrassing first. Was listening to baseball on the radio and not to the PC audio, and turns out that I had my foot mashing the throttle before the race and didn't realize it. Totally missed that I'd blown my engine on pit road until I tried to roll.

Jaylen Brown says he had his first NBA paycheck mailed to him so he could hold it in his hands: $182,000 “I told them to mail it to me so I could just feel it and touch it. I wanted to see my first check. I wanted to feel it in my hand” “The first check that I got was $182,000. I remember seeing that as an 18-year-old coming from a single parent household. I just saw $182,000 hit on the first check and I was like, ‘Alright, welcome to the NBA’”

I’m building an assistant from scratch using OpenCode first step is iMessage integration. I could run the OpenCode webapp on my phone, but I want a group text with my wife where we can ask it stuff together Here’s a demo, so cool that I can open the same session in the TUI (filmed by my 8 yr old, be gracious)

This is that old house by Trelawny. Feel like I been seeing that house from the days of the old road when we used to go Falmouth to check the family. I have a hunch what happened but I can’t specify here. My enemies are still after me.

‘We Built This City’ by Starship was originally going to be used in ‘FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S’ instead of ‘Talking in Your Sleep’ by The Romantics. The movements by the suit performers still used the dances from rehearsal with the Starship song, as they were not changed with the song switch. "The funny thing is, we rehearsed for four weeks, and then we shot for four weeks. The animatronics, anyway. The whole rehearsal period, we were listening to ‘We Built This City.’ That was the temp song because they had not secured whatever song they were looking for at the time. We went to set the first day, and the song was totally different. But then we got used to that one. For us, we’re so limited [with movements and dancing], it’s like, I’m going to do what I do," recalls Freddy Fazbear performer Kevin Foster. (Via: Popverse) #fnaf #fivenightsatfreddys

American Pilot says they were all mandated to take the COVID 19 vaccines and boosters and now pilots are failing their EKG heart tests with irregular rhythms 🚨 Instead of being safe, The FAA CHANGED REGULATIONS allowing for the new irregular heart rhythms (INSANE) “So what the FAA has done is the FAA has increased the window in which the rhythm so that the pilots could pass so they could keep flying.” “I'm a pilot with the airlines and it's mandatory that we take the shot in order to keep flying. So we took shot one, we took shot two, we took the booster one and at that point there was enough evidence from the medical examiners. There's enough evidence with the medical examiners that showed that there was a heart rhythm that wasn't there before the test. So these DKGs that we have to take every six months, now we're causing problems with pilots being able to pass. So what the FAA has done is the FAA has increased the window in which the rhythm so that the pilots could pass so they could keep flying.”

The lawyer for the father who abandoned his son in Minneapolis today says they entered the country in 2024 via the CPB One App, the Biden admin's app that they used to let as many foreign nationals into the country as possible. Which means they could have used the rebranded CPB Home app and be given $1,000 to leave the country that they had no right to come to in the first place but chose not to.

I wanted to laugh at this because at first glance, just looked like an old dude head-banging like a teenager. Then I realized this dude probably grew up listening to the same 70’s-80’s metal that I did. So instead of laughing, I applaud the old school metal head. It’s all about the perspective.

I received my FIRST video game console in 1983 when I was 6 years old It was a Sears Video Arcade II - an Atari 2600 clone system (my original system pictured below.) It was, for a time, the most expensive Christmas present I, or anyone in my family had ever received. All thanks to my mom (see video for the full story…and no, there was NO Nintendo in the stores in 1983 as my mom stated, but to my mom in the 90’s - EVERY gaming thing was “Nintendo!” 🤣 I’m just glad at 71 years old she remembers this so well!)
