I finally decided to try out an idea I had a while ago - using a custom React renderer to power Live Activities through React Native. And you know what? It actually works pretty well. Fast refresh is there too!

Hey React Native devs 👋 I recently built a very cool app with React Native Expo—it’s amazing how powerful and easy it is! 🚀 Everything you can do with React Native CLI, you can do with Expo too. If you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time! #buildinpublic Expo React Native

react-native-enriched-markdown just leveled up! 🚀 We've added EnrichedMarkdownInput, which means the library is now a fully rich-text suite for React Native. 💪 You get a Telegram-style selection-based toolbar, seamless Input-to-Output sync with EnrichedMarkdownText, bold/italic/underline/strikethrough and links – all with a flexible API for custom UIs. ✨ Works on iOS, macOS, and Android. Try the nightly release: npm i react-native-enriched-markdown@nightly P.S. Expect new styles soon – we're just getting started!

Here is an example of using multiple windows on iPadOS with React Native! ✨ Thanks to React Native Factory integrating this became a lot easier and now I'm working on first-party support for this feature! 👀

Lately, I’ve been tightening my agentic coding loop - making sure what my coding agent ships actually works. Today I built a small CLI: 𝚛𝚗-𝚕𝚘𝚐𝚜 🔍 It connects via CDP to pull React Native Metro logs allowing your agent to see what's going on. Here is a small demo ⬇️

low key obsessed with Inertia.js + Rails + React. I built this Notion like UI in a day (and I don't know React or Typescript). Not even sure if I'm doing it right (am I supposed to redirect to the parent page if I'm just updating a component??) but it just works ™️

Sending a file to someone sitting next to you shouldn't need a server. So I built react-native-wifi-aware. It goes straight phone to phone at wifi speeds. No router, no internet. Using Nitro Modules. Repo:

Yeet your slime using a pan! This idea struck me many moons ago and I had to give it a try. Would you play as the dungeon lord wielding the pan? (each stir grants an attack bonus) #UE5 #gamedev #techart #vfx #realtimevfx

So I had a free time and I decided to train a custom segmentation machine learning model on road lane. I combined it with Snap AR sky segmentation. Let me know what you think guys. #AugmentedReality #ar #ai

Bone Tide is officially out on the App Store and Google Play 🎉 The React Native Expo version runs on the exact same TypeGPU engine as the Web game, shared 1:1 between both platforms. Only the UI was ported to React This was made possible by some amazing work across the React Native open source ecosystem. Huge thanks to William Candillon for react-native-webgpu and for always helping me resolve any issues incredibly quickly :D I think it’s a pretty cool showcase of what can be built with React Native nowadays. More details about the libraries used in the 🧵 featuring what might be the ultimate Software Mansion stack iOS: Android: Web:

The first version of React Native Vision OS is out! 🎉🥽 You can init your project using this command: `npx @callstack/react-native-visionos init MyApp` We are still in the early stages of development. If you encounter any bugs, please don't hesitate to open a new issue 🙏

I've been pondering something... My end goal with my city simulator is to publish it on Steam. I was planning on using Three.js for prototyping and then porting this over to Unity to take advantage of ECS/Burst. But then I realized I could probably port all of the simulation code from TypeScript to Rust if I wanted to make it ultra-fast. And then I can continue to use Three.js for the renderer and then embed it into an Electron app. Is that a dumb idea? What pitfalls are there with this approach? Curious what people's experience publishing games using Electron has been.

This is an object detector model running in React Native VisionCamera. I am looping through all the output data and drawing red boxes using simple JavaScript - even the model can be hotswapped! All of this while still running at more than 60 FPS 🤯 - no more native code!!

I've created a utility for debugging React performance. After spending a few hours trying to connect react-devtools with Electron, I decided to write my own from scratch. You can add it to your project with just one line of code -
