@NotebookLM It's very useful to use while listening to the audio overview. It keeps me on track through the whole story. I was thinking, could it be possible to automatically unfold and highlight where the speakers of the AO are talking about?

We built and launched a viral AI product in 2 months (at Google!). Here's how: Our little NotebookLM team has had a crazy few months and is proving that small, nimble teams not only exist within Google, but can move fast and have significant impact. Our newest feature “Audio Overviews” has taken over the internet the past few days. The team has been sprinting - we went from idea to prototype in weeks, then launched publicly in under 2 months. It’s not perfect (yet!), but that’s the point. Here are a few takeaways: 1. It's about building products *with* our users, not just *for* them. We’re not waiting to launch, we’re shipping early and iterating. Tech is evolving faster than users can possibly know what they want. We're often anticipating needs for V1 then working alongside them to improve. Example: Very quickly we saw a massive user desire for in-line citations so our team quickly pivoted to build and launch. (Join our discord!) 2. Built-in not bolted-on: We’re building net-new, AI native products. This isn’t just AI for the sake of “AI”, we’re working to bridge the gap between state-of-the-art research and human problems. Audio Overviews are great because they sound amazing, yes -- but useful because they are (1) source grounded and (2) an easy one-click way to study and digest your own information. 3. Meetings are spent building, not just talking about building. We’re collaborating, deeply. I am the only UX designer on the team so we have to make every moment count. @raiza_abubakar, Steven Johnson and I are constantly strategizing and iterating together. NotebookLM represents a new era of product development within Labs at Google. We're putting user feedback and community engagement at the heart of everything we do. Just wanted to address a mistake that we made on my socials earlier this week related to last weekends CFB Saturday. We posted a video where joey galloway and I were talking about how strange it was to be home and not traveling on a CFB weekend since end of August and how we felt like we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. We posted the video with a caption that was very misleading about “weird not having any CFB this weekend”. Some took that out of context and ran with it-that’s on me..my apologies for any disrespect (albeit unintentional) to the teams that played last weekend-especially Army Football and Navy Football Not sure there is a game I personally look forward to more EVERY year than Army and Navy-they play for the love for each other and love for the game-and anybody who has ever watched me for the last 30 years on TV knows how I feel about that game. Sorry for any confusion and again any disrespect that this created-it was a simple case of miscommunication. Just felt the need to address it. Thank you!

🎞️ My dad is retired and has been studying 1880-1920 film history for the last few year He might even get a PhD for it if he finishes with his thesis about it Anyway I put one of his chapters about Edison's monopoly cartel (MPPC) into NotebookLM for fun His study and writing are 100% in Dutch, but NotebookLM got it completely, and produced this little video about it My dad was absolutely flabbergasted in understood the topic and even mentioned all the little details he wrote about 🤯

This is an incredibly cool idea for mixed reality social interactions! Four users play together in MR, and every player has his room joined with the rooms of the other players to create a big hybrid room. Thanks to the scene understanding of Quest, you can also have a rough representation of the furniture the other users have. It's like you remove the distances and you play together in the same space, in this case by throwing each other a hot potato. I discovered this video because a few days ago I posted an article about social AR, and the amazing Ivan Aguilar pointed me to this talk by Jesse Schell at GDC where he talked about the future of MR experiences and showcased this prototype of a mixed reality game.
