Recap of the highlights from my Portfolio Site. I spent ~572 hours on this site. Made in Webflow with GSAP Sounds like way too much — but I used this project to learn Webflow, GSAP, animation basics, and to get a feeling for web animations. So it happened quite often that I had to rebuild modules after learning something new. Sometimes there were performance drops, which led me to rebuild even more. I used Swup JS for the first time to create a page transition. That took so much time. With this project, I also built a base boilerplate for future projects, so I can create new sites faster. And there were so many other things I tried for the first time. All in all, I learned a lot just by building. Check it out live! Link in the comments.

I'm 25, turning 26 this month. I switched from physics to tech just a few months ago. I started learning programming with no connections in tech - and yes, of course, I often feel lost, alone, and behind. But as ThePrimeagen said, for people like us, there’s more reason and more pressure to learn. I still don’t know if this was the right move, but in the past 7–8 months, I’ve learned a lot - and more importantly, I’ve enjoyed it, something I rarely felt while doing anything else. All of it happened because I stayed consistent, even while doing odd jobs. Now, my next goal is to land a job or a paid internship - just something that can cover my expenses so I can go full-time in tech and keep learning by working on real projects in the industry. So, if you’ve started late or felt lost, watch this... Thank you ThePrimeagen for this❤️

I decided to be more intentional about the Ukrainian language 🇺🇦 and invest more in learning it. When I arrived 8 years ago, I studied Russian. But after the full-scale invasion, I understood the importance of amplifying Ukrainian -both among Ukrainians and foreigners. In Ukraine, the mother tongue is Ukrainian. The first time I saw the Predator cloak effect, I knew I wanted to learn visual effects and make them part of my professional life. Turn the sound on — it makes the experience much more fun 😅 This is also a great exercise if you’re learning TSL and want to experiment with glass, dispersion, IOR, and custom shaders. Both the classic shader version and the new TSL version are included in the repo so you can compare the approaches side by side. Hope it’s useful. I think about this idea from MrBeast a lot. Community can be an unfair advantage when you find people to share with and learn from. When you’re operating solo, you just can’t compete with someone who is learning from the experiences of several others in real time.

This is the first time I came across you and you said something that I absolutely love, and I had in my notebook, and I went to find when I took it. It was 2020, and you said, "Books are the closest thing you ever come to finding cheat codes for real life. You can access the entire learnings of someone else's career in a few hours." Tobi: It tracks, doesn't it? David: I dedicate my life to this, so of course, I'm going to agree with that. Tobi: Absolutely. I really think we need to shout this more from the rooftops, right? The one weird trick seems to be just read books.

It had been so long since I felt that thrill of learning something new. So what I want to say is if there's something you want to do, it's not too late. Try anything, take on the challenge. Seokjin, you can come to us any way u like 🥺 🐹So yesterday, I really wanted to post something right at midnight, but I was not sure how to put it into words. So I just wrote something with a heart full of gratitude. I did. But then, the way I feel is that I always end up writing something that just conveys my gratitude to you all, and ah… I actually wish I could talk to you in a lighter and more casual way, but I feel like I haven’t really been able to, and I find that a bit disappointing/sad. It feels like I always come across too serious (than I meant to be). I want to be lighter and more easygoing with you, not approaching you in a heavy, formal way, but rather in a friendly and casual way. But these days, even when I try something lighthearted, there have been various things going on and with the group activities and everything and so….. So it feels like the sense of closeness has become a bit distant. I’ll try harder to connect with you in a warmer and more approachable way.

Last night I built and deployed a live visualisation of Cardano. It now shows SPO block production in real time. You can SPO's minting blocks as they happen, with an approximate geographic view, current live stake, pool logo, mission description and search, stake amount and more. I will extend it as and when I get more time. No one is funding this. It is built in my own time, and funded by myself, because I wanted to showcase Cardano and it's SPO's visually in how they run a global decentralized blockchain from all corners of the world, whilst allowing users more visibility over researching SPO's.
