Basically if his head passed,the whole body must pass, he is not a big guy and this must help.

the way hes already got the kid crying and hes not even through the gate yet. children do have that weird sixth sense for when someones faking it.

There is a saying if the head can pass through than the whole body is not a problem. But look at the size of the body too.

If he got his between the rails he should have been able to remove it the same way.
