Looks like the VRAM leak issue when using High Texture Quality in #DyingLightTheBeast has been fixed. Performance between the two builds is pretty much identical and there is no noticeable improvement in this regard.

it feels like some people saw a couple of underwhelming screenshots of Pragmata and decided that path-tracing is the death of art and art direction or something. i dont think those screenshots were great either but this shit looks amazing with path-tracing.

More Ray Tracing vs Path Tracing in #PRAGMATA In indoor scenes, the jump from RT to PT isn’t as big as it is outdoors. It generally feels like Capcom focused more on these areas, with improved ambient shading and more shadow casting lights even without RT or PT.

Can confirm. There’s currently a bug with Low Texture Quality in #Pragmata. At Low, some textures fail to load properly causing VRAM and CPU usage to fluctuate and leading to frequent bursts of frame time spikes, It happens very often and I’m not sure if it affects all GPUs.

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

#PRAGMATA really shows how far hair rendering has come on the RE Engine since Resident Evil 4 Remake. Even with the performance and VRAM hit, it’s hard to give up on the strand-based hair, as it plays a huge role in the game’s visual presentation.

Here’s what’s causing the stuttering when aiming with the sniper rifle: Setting Level Of Detail to Very High (and High, to a lesser extent) causes a significant VRAM spike, which leads to the stutter. So the best way to avoid this is to stick to High or Medium LOD, and if you’re VRAM limited, lower the texture setting as well. #DeathStranding2PC
