Frozen magnolia and evergreen trees in Nashville. Gives you a sense of just how thick the ice is on these trees. It’s getting colder and wind is kicking up too. Tons of trees down, over 200k homes without power, and it’s probably going to get worse tonight unfortunately.

Flew home out of Asheville today. Wanted to visit an area impacted from Helene. I know there are many spots still recovering that were severely damaged. This is from Biltmore. Most the city looked wonderful and back in business. This video represents a small area. But for me it was shocking. To see the unbelievable power of water. How high the water came up. And damages today like they just happened yesterday. In the video I said unbelievable a lot. That was my honest reaction.

To those who keep saying “high winds caused all this,” Really??? where’s all the debris from the high winds in this area? The street is clean, but there should be tons of broken branches, leaves, garbage, etc. from high winds ALL OVER THE AREA from the surrounding residences and businesses. Some trees in the background are very small and clearly have tiny/frail branches that should have snapped off and blown everywhere.
