I’m working on a video for #ArcRaiders Update 1.7.0, and I noticed that the frame times are less consistent with this update compared to the launch version. After some testing, it turns out NVIDIA Reflex is the main culprit. If you’re noticing micro-stuttering or uneven frame pacing, disable Reflex.

I tested out Cyberpunk 2077 Path Tracing turned on with RX 9070 XT now that FSR Redstone is out. By using the new FSR Redstone and FSR ML Based Frame-Gen, the game reaches up to 130FPS in 1440p with FSR set to Performance Mode. The performance gains are not that much higher compared to the previous versions of FSR but the image quality got a huge upgrade, especially when using Frame-Gen. This ML based Frame Gen is much better than the previous version as it gets rid of most artifacts and ghosting caused by the previous version. If for some reason you always wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing turned on on an AMD GPU, now you can enjoy a playable experience with 100+ FPS on an RX 9070 XT. I still don't recommend it though as the frame pacing and input lag still feels off for me, I'd just rather play this without Frame Gen and Path Tracing. I'm going to test out Black Myth: Wukong next

Silver Palace Performance Results After 48 Hours of Testing !! 1. The game currently runs worse than Wuthering Waves, with frequent frame drops. 2. The developers have released 3 updates so far, and I noticed that the CPU bottleneck has been reduced. 3. These results are on DLSS Quality. DLAA has even more stuttering. Question: Is it fixable? Answer: It depends. No matter what, this game is going to be very demanding. If you look at NTE, it uses a hybrid graphics system where you can disable SSR through presets, but Silver Palace doesn't have an option like that. Combined with other heavy graphical effects, performance takes a noticeable hit. This hybrid system should have been available from the start. Since we're only in CBT2, I expect some improvements before launch. Based on my testing, the game will likely perform similarly to STALKER 2, and performance will also depend heavily on Frame Generation. I also noticed CPU bottlenecks on both DLAA and DLSS in almost every area. Things that need to be added: Render Distance setting — this would significantly reduce CPU bottlenecks for mid-range and low-end CPUs. #SilverPalace #Gacha

In my previous post about the #Nioh3 demo, I mentioned that when the game isn’t consistently holding 60 FPS or 120 FPS, several issues can show up. Here’s a clearer breakdown of what's going on. The main reason is that the game speed and physics are tied to the frame rate. When you enable the 120 FPS cap, the engine start overreacting and pushes CPU usage very high, even if the game is still running at around 60 FPS (as shown in the first example). In the second clip, you can see the uneven, jittery camera movement I mentioned before. Notice how much smoother 60 FPS and 120 FPS look compared to the unlocked side. Also, camera movement at 60 FPS is slightly faster than at 120 FPS. In the third clip, player movement is slower when the frame rate is unlocked. This doesn’t happen all the time, but it shows up often enough to be noticeable. Because of how the Katana Engine behaves, the game is clearly designed around 60 FPS. Running at 120 FPS is possible, but it’s only recommended if your system can maintain that target almost all the time, which isn’t easy to achieve. There’s also an alternative workaround where you select the 60 (locked) option and enable Frame Generation (DLSS or FSR 3), as shown in the last clip. The downside is that DLSS Frame Generation tends to show the same stuttery look as when the frame rate isn’t holding a fixed target, likely due to Reflex keeping the frame rate slightly below target. FSR Frame Generation, on the other hand, looks much smoother and works better here.

Here’s how I generated this U.S. Polo sequence using Kling 3.0 + Calico AI: → The Input: A start frame and an end frame to lock in the subject and composition. → The Prompt: Don't just ask for a "cool video." Specifically prompted for "slow cinematic push-in," "shallow depth of field," and "micro-parallax" to get that premium brand-film look. → The Output: Motion that looks like a high-budget fashion shoot. Studio shoots are expensive, but AI is leveling the playing field. Comment 'PROMPT' if you want me to send you all of the prompts and the system I used to build this. Why is my baby always sticking out their tongue? If you’re a new parent you may notice that your newborn spends a lot of time with their tongue protruding from their mouth. Not only is this totally normal, it’s a reflex. The extrusion reflex (sometimes referred to as the tongue thrust reflex) is an important feeding and survival mechanism for infants that works alongside the sucking reflex to help them find nourishment and - importantly - prevent choking. At birth, babies have not yet developed to muscular control necessary to swallow anything other than liquid. The extrusion reflex both assists in taking milk from a breast or bottle and helps to expel anything else from the mouth. In fact, one measure of whether your baby is prepared to begin spoon feeding is whether their tongue thrust has sufficiently subsided (which usually happens between 4-6 months). If you try spoon feeding too early, the extrusion reflex helps to guard the gate - and will help to push that spoon (and any associated food) right back out of the mouth. Attention all slicers! Not only is MotorSlice out now, a new beta version is available to try out on Steam! This prospective update tweaks the gameplay in order to address some of the main points people struggled with, and to improve game feel overall. Your thoughts on these changes are welcome. Check it out by going to the Steam properties for MotorSlice, the "Game versions & Betas" tab, and selecting the betatest option.

Monster Hunter Wilds big performance patch is out on PC. I spoke with the user who originally discovered the DLC bug and they confirmed that it seems to be fixed. More improvements I noticed from some quick testing (continued): • Better 1% lows for smoother gameplay with less hitching and stutter • Lower VRAM usage (10+ GB -> 7.5GB) • Higher FPS in some cases • CPU optimizations • High res texture pack is actually usable now • Lowered the install size by 45GB with texture pack • Some users report that their new frame rate WITHOUT FG = old frame rate WITH FG • More graphics options to tweak Overall, this update seems to have done the trick. Still not 100% perfect but MUCH better than it was before. The recent Steam reviews have also been very positive so it seems that most agree. Another patch is coming in February with even more optimizations for both PC and console. Settings and PC specs at the end - this was the default recommended settings at 4K DLSS Performance, Frame Gen off, 16x AF (roughly the High preset). Finally, Capcom didn't credit anyone in the Patch Notes so shoutout to de_Tylmarande for originally bringing the DLC bug to people's attention. #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds

Just tested Runway Aleph 2.0 and this blew my mind a bit lol I saw a video like this when Aleph first released and with the new Aleph 2.0 I wanted to create my own version. You basically select a single frame from the video, apply a change to that specific frame using Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2 or Gen-4 and based on the newly generated image Aleph propagates the change through the entire shot. It's really cool seeing the whole sequence adapt from just one edited frame

I used Seedance Enterprise 2.5 to create this AI rap music video. One thing I noticed during testing was that I spent less time regenerating shots. I got the result on the second attempt. I was getting usable results more consistently, which made the workflow feel faster and more cost-effective. The authenticity struck me profoundly, Seedance 2.5 captures micro‑expressions and subtle eye shifts that feel unscripted — the kind of nuance that usually gets lost in AI, but here makes every frame read as a real performance. The 30-second generation made the creative process feel much more natural. The motion, lighting, and camera movement felt more natural, making it easier to focus on storytelling instead of fixing every scene. I can also see how pairing it with SeedAudio would make the overall AI music video workflow even more seamless. Support for multimodal references and localized editing helped keep the visuals consistent while making refinements much easier. Overall, Seedance 2.5 feels less like a shot generator and more like a creative tool for cinematic storytelling and music videos. AIRPORT BOREDOM: A good one. This is my life. Comparing swing videos to see if there are swing inefficiencies which cause poor performance. Homer on the left Foul ball in a strike out on the right. Some times the differences are easy to see. Some times you’re looking for a needle in a hay stack. Some times the swing looks good but just not ready on time. There is something here that stands out. Can you see it? If you can see it what’s the cause?

FSD slams on the brakes for a cat in the road that doesn’t even exist. This is FSD 12.6.4 on HW3, which is a lot more sensitive to shadows & objects in the road with the 2026.8.6 update. There are many reports of brake stabbing. It brings me back to the days when I was testing with v10.3 of FSD back in 2021. It’s interesting that it’s the same FSD version as before, and not something like 12.6.4.1, but I guess Tesla can change the weights without changing the version. And they’ve likely been doing this for a while with 12.6.4. 😒
