Sokoto State Government goes digital, introduces e-ticketing system for mass transit vehicles The Sokoto State Government has introduced an e-ticketing system for all its 126 mass transit vehicles currently in use for inter states,intra city as well as inter local government services. This came to light during a brief demonstration to Gov. Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto on how the e-ticketing system works and how a passenger can obtain his ticket without any stress. Gov. Aliyu said the initiative is part of several other measures introduced by his administration to enhance transparency and accountability in the mass transit unit and the state as a whole.

We need to fund our mass transit system – because mass transit helps our seniors, supports people going to work, and keeps our economy moving. I proposed historic investments in mass transit, including funding for SEPTA and Pittsburgh Regional Transit – and the House passed that funding. It's time for the Senate to act and get a bill to my desk that supports over 1 million Pennsylvanians who rely on public transit every day.
