📽️ A powerful moment from our recent school visit with Lewis Hamilton, where we sat down with our partners and young people they support for an important conversation about the work being done to build a more inclusive education system. We were delighted to hear from Milk Honey Bees🐝 founder Ebinehita Iyere and student Liliana about the impact of the H.E.R. Space Programme, which is creating more inclusive environments in schools and we are proud to support. Yamina B, Project Lead for the Increasing Diversity in ITT project, delivered in partnership with Angela Browne - #BeingLuminary, Chartered College of Teaching and Chiltern Learning Trust - Bedfordshire, also shared impactful updates on the progress of our work to transform teacher recruitment practices. It’s our 5th birthday! 🎉 Five years ago, Lewis Hamilton founded Mission 44 with a clear ambition: to help build a fairer, more inclusive future where every young person can thrive. Since then, we've had the privilege of working alongside incredible young people, partners and communities to turn that ambition into action 💥 From school visits and Formula 1 track days to meeting with the Prime Minister at No10, expanding our work internationally, and investing in organisations creating lasting change, every step has been driven by one shared goal: opening doors for young people. Together, we've reached more than half a million young people around the world, invested over $10 million to drive change, and funded 43 organisations working to break down barriers. This film celebrates the people, partnerships and moments that have shaped our first five years - and the journey is only just beginning! 🙌 Continue to support our mission and get involved with our work at:

We launched the Preventing Exclusions Fund three years ago, with the support of Sky Group, to tackle disproportionate rates of school exclusion. Since then, we’ve been working with some incredible partners to test innovative solutions, provide personalised support to vulnerable young people, and build a more inclusive education system. In this latest clip from their conversation, Lewis Hamilton, Jade and Jaiden reflect on this work and highlight the impact of two Preventing Exclusions Fund partners, Milk Honey Bees🐝 and @TheDifferenceEd. Every American should be able to live, work, and care for their families, yet costs are soaring, and this promise is out of reach for too many people in America today. Laleh Ispahani shares why we’re doubling down on our work in the U.S. with a $300 million investment that will expand rights, foster economic dignity, and rebuild our democracy. This builds on our decades-long work in the U.S. and around the world.

[WATCH] OUR ELECTION CAMPAIGN — CANDIDATES OF QUALITY, CONTESTING EVERYWHERE Finally, to the work that consumes this movement: the road to 4 November. Our campaign is advancing with energy and with discipline. We are engaged in a wide and rigorous candidate-selection process one in which our National Officials and members of the National Executive Committee are personally sitting in interviews across the country, searching, ward by ward and municipality by municipality, for the most capable, credible and committed comrades to carry the ANC's name onto the ballot. We are contesting every municipality in this country, seriously and to win. Let us single out one front. In the Western Cape, and in Cape Town in particular, the indications reaching us are that the governing party there may be heading for a far weaker result than its bluster suggests. Our task is to take the fight deep into the belly of that province to deploy credible, capable candidates who can give the people of the Cape a real alternative. That work is well under way, and we are receiving outstanding nominees from the ground up. The ANC is on the move. #ANCMediaBriefing #RegisterToVoteANC #YearOfDecisiveAction

Remote Work is Killing Career Growth for Young Professionals Chamath Palihapitiya explains: There are two types of mentoring 1) "Capital M Mentoring" "Capital M is where some person is assigned to you. They're going to imbue some magical phrase, or saying, or thing, and all of a sudden everything is going to work out for you." "That form of Capital M Mentoring doesn't exist and has never worked for those that have tried it." 2) "small m mentoring" "The thing that's really productive is small m mentoring. And that happens when you model behaviors of really smart people, and really capable people, really ethical people." "And again, that happens because you're seeing them on a day to day basis, not just in a meeting, but in the gaps between meetings. They'll include you in certain things, or you'll have lunch with them." Chamath Palihapitiya sums it up: "All of these people that are looking for an accelerant in their career, they've robbed themselves of the most powerful accelerant possible, which is capable people to surround themselves with." "They are going to look back on these decisions, and they're going to regret them."

Yesterday I announced a new School Stabilization Team to support the SFUSD in this difficult time, and today they are getting to work. Our team will immediately begin meeting with District leadership, including the Board of Education members who are our partners in this effort. School District leaders and staff are working hard to meet these challenges, and our goal is expand their capacity and help to troubleshoot, review, validate and provide more support in the following immediate areas: • Plans around potential school closures • Budget balancing so we can retain local control • Any operational issues impacting kids today This is not a City takeover or about placing blame — this is a partnership and about finding solutions. All of us working together to deliver on what matters most: supporting our kids.

Mamdani on Arch/Ballroom/Club Rose Garden: My message would be that this is not what government has to be. This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

We’re partnering with HP India to bring voice to the centre of how people work on their PCs. This Independence Day, we’re proud to share that Kivi, powered by Sarvam, will come pre-installed on HP laptops. Kivi lets people dictate instead of type, draft or rewrite content, search for information, and get help across the applications they already use. By bringing together HP’s device ecosystem and reach with Sarvam’s voice and language capabilities, we’re making everyday work faster, simpler, and more accessible to millions of people. This is the beginning of a broader partnership between HP and Sarvam, with more to come. Read more:

They would actually be tackling the problem, instead of pushing people away.” - Taivian, 16 As part of our Nothing Happens in Isolation campaign, we have highlighted four Priority Areas, with policy recommendations, for the Government to address to #PreventExclusions. The second of these Priority Areas is ‘Increase personalised support for vulnerable learners’’.
