Our new research exploring how plastic moves through vast river systems just commenced in the Amazon River in Manaus.🇧🇷 Just days into this research, we have already observed impressive transport distances (more than 500km in less than 5 days for some drifters).

How do you get the data from these? Is it just stored locally and use low power radio to get it off or is there something bigger than that? I see the solar on them, is that powerful enough to get the data off in near real-time? Real interesting use of technology, great work!
