I discussed strengthening our air defense with Dick Schoof Dick Schoof. I briefed him on the massive Russian strikes and the need for additional air defense missiles. We explored new ideas that could help reinforce air defense and protect our people. It is crucial to enhance coordination among partners in the face of Russia’s growing production of ballistic missiles. I thank the Prime Minister for the Netherlands’ support of the PURL initiative and for the many important steps taken to assist our country since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Strengthening air defense is the number one goal for this Ramstein and for our contacts in Europe and the U.S. in general. The Ukrainian army must be – and will be – consistently strong.

We currently have reports of dozens injured and three killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. We must work without wasting a single day to ensure that there are enough missiles for our air defense systems, and that everything necessary for our protection and for pressure on Russia is in place. It is time Europe made a decision on the frozen assets if Moscow refuses to end its drone and missile strikes.
