Introducing Helpin. the open-source alternative to Intercom/Fin. where AI agents answer your customers, keep your docs fresh and turn bug reports into pull requests. support, projects, CRM and docs in one workspace. what it does, and why we built it 🧵

the problem: support in one tool. tasks in another. CRM in a third. docs in a fourth. then you add an AI bot that can only see one of them, and wonder why it gives wrong answers.

most AI bots give wrong answers for two reasons: > they don't have the full context > your docs are out of date Helpin fixes both.

context first. Helpin's AI works from logs, billing, the built-in CRM, code and previous conversations. it answers with the full picture instead of guessing.

then fresh docs. help docs update with every release, bug fix and unresolved ticket. and the screenshots or tutorial videos update automatically, so your help center stops showing a UI you redesigned last spring. your bot stops confidently lying to customers.

you stay in control. start with AI drafting replies. you approve. once you're confident, switch to auto-reply and let it handle answering, follow-ups and creating tickets for your dev team and following-up with customers once the issue is resolved

ask the agent anything. because Helpin has the full context of your business, you can ask about a customer, a deal, a bug or a project and get an answer from your real data no digging through 5 tabs

it's not just an Intercom alternative. you also get projects (a linear/jira alternative) CRM (a hubSpot/attio/pipedrive alternative) and docs (a mintlify/help scout/confluence alternative). your team and your AI agents share the same context.

and it's open source. you can read the code your customer data runs through, self-host it and skip per-seat and per-resolution pricing. or let Helpin Cloud run it for you. the future of SaaS is open source.

it's built on our open-source agent runtime so the engine behind Helpin's agents is open too. you can use it in your own app.

we want Helpin to be the only tool a SaaS team needs. we can't build that alone. if you want to help, jump in: > star the repo and try it > open an issue or ship a pull request > tell us what's missing > join the Discord and build with us

try Helpin free for 14 days, no card: or self-host it, it's yours. tell me what's missing. i want to hear it.

self-host with no per seat or per-resolution fees now we're talking

giving power back to the people.

sunday afternoon plans: sorted. gonna dig into what this is about

what you gonna do on friday and saturday...haha

this actually looks pretty useful

Super excited to try this 🚀

support, docs and the ticket in one place???? yeah that is a real drop ngl

sending to a friend who just got quoted an Intercom renewal.

can i set auto-reply for some topics and keep drafts for the rest?

yes, we recommend using AI replies in draft mode first so that it learns and covers the gaps in docs. Once you see the context getting better, you can turn on auto-reply.

we ship every week and our docs never keep up. this is the fix i've been looking for.

love the idea of having everything in one place

that's absolutely increidble

sending to my agency friends who run support for clients.

support that can ship the fix too… okay that’s useful

The bug-report-to-PR path is interesting. Does the original customer conversation stay attached so the person reviewing the fix can see the actual problem and confirm that the customer-facing behavior changed?

Yes, it is automatically attavhed with the task/story to fix.

can't wait to self host this over the weekend

can i write my own agents, or only use the built-in ones?

Yes, you can create your own custom agents tat can do anything you want. connect with external tools via mcp, give them skills, internal tools etc. they can run autonomously or with your approval on certain requests.

trying the Claude Code MCP setup first. will report back.

starting a new SaaS. i'd rather start on one workspace than glue four tools together later.

A good tool to improve productivity

banger 😮💨😮💨😮💨

our support team answers the same billing questions every day. drafts built from real billing data would save hours.

would use this for an open source project's support too. self-hosted makes sense there.

support, tasks and CRM in separate tools is the problem. one workspace is the fix. i'm in.

smart, does the AI pull billing straight from Stripe, or through MCP?

through mcp, you can connect any tool to Helpin

Full context AI that auto updates docs cuts guesswork and keeps the support bot honest

I know it would sound AI-ish or cliché but this is a total GAME CHANGER! Thank you for making it open source :)

Half our customer context lives in support chats and never makes it to the CRM. Having it fill itself from those conversations would be a huge win for our sales side

give it a try and share your feedback

turning bug reports straight into pull requests.. that alone is huge

amazing build up here legend, this looks good, congrats

full context AI support that updates docs automatically is interesting

i'd use the docs agent on our API docs first. they go stale fastest.

I'll try it 100%!!! thanks for it team

open source makes this even better

open source is the future, code is commodity

amazing tool, u really cooked
