It was really interesting to learn that The Prince was not unique for its time for being a book written for only a single person to ever read. Before the printing press, books were expensive and cumbersome to copy. And even after printing was established, elites often wanted proprietary...

Angelina Jolie Has Finally Woken Up To The Fact The United Nations & Governments Are Run By Heartless Criminals There’s No Accountability For Crimes “If There’s A Business Interest Involved” “That is the biggest that is the most disheartening thing of I think we we or I thought at least even 20 years ago when I started to work internationally that there was this I in my head, some weird idea of good guys. You know? Some idea of those whether it be certain countries or certain people's maybe it was this holdover from World War 2 and this thought that this was, like so that the lines were clear and that there was going to be these human rights goals laid out and that there would be things stood up for, and that if these things weren't done, there would be pushback, and these were the and I really thought that's what it was. I even thought that's what the United Nations was… And I thought, okay. There's a there's some lines in the sand. There's some understanding. We're gonna grow and fight for improvements in these areas. And and to watch to watch and understand more and more how it's just simply that's not what it is. That's not the world. The world is not these are human rights. It is these are human rights sometimes for these people, maybe sometimes for these people, never for these people. Yeah. It's food aid, 6% for these people, 50% for these people, it's justice for these people, but not these people. Accountability for this crime, but not that crime if there's business interest. And this is truly the ugly state of of so much of the world that we are just becoming more and more aware of for just about every I mean, I don't know any countries that are are clean of it and, um, and willing to hold a line really consistently hand on behalf of the of human rights and laws”

We have spent a century calling children failures for not fitting a system that was never designed for them. AI is about to expose just how many geniuses we threw away. MrBeast, the most watched creator on Earth, just diagnosed exactly what’s broken. MrBeast: “I graduated from school thinking books suck and books are boring and I never read a book. But reality, they were just giving me shitty books that I hated.” He isn’t anti-education. He’s anti-assembly line. Our education system is competing against billion-dollar algorithms engineered for maximum attention. And it’s fighting back with a whiteboard. MrBeast is a visual learner. He retains information three times more effectively when he sees a visual of it. The school system never told him that. It just handed him books and called him a bad student. For a century we forced every child to learn the same way at the same speed. The gifted ones were bored. The struggling ones were abandoned. And the ones who learned differently were labeled the problem. They weren’t the problem. We just never spoke their language. The traditional classroom is crowd control. MrBeast: “Just because that’s what our parents did doesn’t mean that’s what we need to subject ourselves to.” With modern technology, kids could learn more in five hours than they absorb in eight. Five hours. Then give them their childhood back. AI is about to make that possible. Not a teacher moving at the speed of the class. A 1-to-1 tutor moving at the exact speed of the individual. Detects a visual learner? Generates interactive simulations. Kid obsessed with space? Rewrites math, history, and physics around the Apollo missions. Education bound not by time, but by mastery. We will never know how many breakthroughs never came because the mind that carried them was given the wrong book and told they weren’t smart enough. That era is ending. The most powerful education system ever built is coming. And it will never mistake a different mind for a broken one.

Jeff Bezos on the insight that started Amazon: In 1994, Bezos came across a statistic that changed his life: worldwide web usage was growing at roughly 2,300% a year. "That was sort of a wakeup call for me that there was something going on," he recalls. At the time, most people hadn't even heard of the web. This was the era of 28 kilobit per second modems and dial-up access. A very different age. But the signal was clear. Something was coming. Jeff Bezos explains the realisation that followed: "I realized you could make a bookstore on the web that could hold more books than a physical bookstore could ever hold. It could truly have universal selection." His background was in computers, not books. He's quick to point out that books weren't chosen out of personal passion: "My real compass, my real passion was computers, and that's how I was involved in this world of the web back in 94. But books was a great first best product to sell online." So why books specifically? Bezos breaks down the logic: "Books were very unique and still are in one respect, and that is that there are more items in the book category than there are items in any other category. There are millions of books active and in print around the world, and the largest physical book superstores only carry about 100, 150,000 of those millions of different books." That gap between what existed and what was accessible was the opening. On the web, you could solve a real problem. People couldn't find the books they wanted, especially the narrow, niche titles with smaller audiences. "We basically built Amazon to make it possible for people to find those hard to find books."

Here’s my review after reading the Gospel of Thomas 😊 Background: Gospel of Thomas is one of the books found by farmers in old clay jars in Egypt in 1945. When the ancient Coptic writing style was compared to writing styles over the years, experts determined the book was likely written between the years 100 and 200 CE. Over the centuries, ancient Christians had quoted Gospel of Thomas here and there, but a full copy of the book had been lost until the 1945 discovery. The book is said to have been written by Doubting Thomas, the disciple of Jesus. Of course the copy found in Egypt was likely translated from Thomas’ original writing some years after he wrote it. After reading it myself, I was shocked to find how very many of the sayings are in the Bible. It is a book of parables only, not the full story of Jesus. Some of the parables in Thomas are not in the Bible. I’ve heard from Christians who are scared to read something about Jesus that’s not in the Bible. When I hear that, I always think of the last verse of the Book of John which says: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” So John makes clear that Jesus’ whole story is not in the Bible. How delightful, after telling God I’d love to learn more of Jesus’ story, that I come across these sayings.😊🙏🏼 What’s your take?
