It’s now easier to move local agents to the cloud so they can keep working with your laptop closed. Prompt Cursor from your phone, run many agents in parallel, and get back PRs with demos of their work.

It's now faster and easier to set up cloud environments. Environments are saved as snapshots so future agents start up faster and can test changes until the output is verified.

Use /in-cloud to start a subagent in its own cloud VM. This is especially useful for isolating long-running or parallel work so your local workspace stays clean and responsive.

Elon's really about to win this AI race, uh? lol

wait for real? This is great, I was hoping we could do this!

Sounds like a great time to get 50% off your first month!! 👇

When are we going to get the android mobile app, can't wait to try it out there

@danielendara So awesome.

Cursor mobile app when ?

I like how you approached this, feels practical.

Hey @cursor_ai, a mobile app would be lovely 😊

waiting for a public release of Cursor Mobile app🫳🏻

me touching grass while my agent is running. sounds perfect

i was just annoyed yesterday this wasnt a possibility. hell yeah!

the agents-while-sleeping angle is underrated. been waiting for this since the first time i had to leave my laptop open overnight for a long run

The future is systems that keep working after you close the lid.

Love this update!

Thank you Elon…. (I know it’s not him)

Interesting

Our agents been working on the Cloud from day 1!

I need this to work in local/private Origin pleaseeeeee. My big project isn’t in GitHub due to reason (like they have lost my confidence), so I don’t have a good way to manage project state between laptop and server if I introduce Cloud agents. Wrap it all together for me and ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The irony of cloud agents: you finally close the laptop, but someone still has to review everything they output.

For someone who builds in 90-minute windows after the kids are asleep, this flips my biggest constraint. The problem was never ideas, it was hours at the keyboard. Work that keeps going with the laptop closed is a different game.

offline.version be nice with small models

People will no longer face the awkward situation of finding their computer half-shut down after work.

SO FUN!

they are really pushing features fast

@elonmusk I have exactly no idea what any of that meant see how much I need to learn that scares me that I didn’t understand one thing in this post @elonmusk

Nice

@poteto cursor making a comeback now

Cool! A super important update for the entire industry, especially considering the current interest in loop engineering, which should be running 24/7 :)

This is a good concept, but I probably still won’t use it

Does Cursor have its own cloud server? Or is it used by a third party?

This is awesome. How do you envision this working for mobile-native development, especially iOS Flutter projects that depend on local simulators and tooling?

Cloud VM isolation is great for parallel work, but the cold start and latency make you wonder if keeping your laptop open was simpler.

This sounds familiar
