4 consecutive 20" corn rows and 4 off Create "alley crop" corn behind my Uncle David's cattle lot. The idea is to grow serious pasture for the cattle and preserve 90% -94% corn yields like many 60" corn growers are realizing (twin rows are better) This will also allow for in season manure applications. Either slinging chicken or turkey compost into the air or side shoot swine solution at the ankles of the corn. Corn in 2026 will be planted in the space between which has the opportunity to prime with the soil health attributes of a much more significant and diverse cover crop / forage mix. This ground now becomes useful for multiple purposes on the farm from grazing, to calving, with the ability to apply manure when all other fields are locked up

Corn’s ability to funnel water from the canopy to the roots is truly amazing! It’s why 1/10 inch of rain in canopied corn is dry between the rows and looks like an inch fell at the base. Don’t ask how I first learned of this phenomenon…just know it’s a heavenly design!

E15 = BAD. It’s gas with ethanol, which comes from corn. It’s being pushed to you because corn’s “renewable,” so E15’s supposed to make you feel good, right? WRONG. 1. E15 is up to 33% less efficient for your vehicle than pure gas - and terrible for your engine. 2. We don’t need a 30-cent hidden tax on every gallon of gas. 3. 22 states currently allow for year-round E15, yet it’s rarely sold – even in the Big Corn states! If E15 seems like the wrong answer to you, that’s because it’s the wrong answer! (…to question that didn’t need to be asked, by the way…) CALL YOUR SENATORS and tell them you do not support this in the upcoming Farm Bill!

I’m now exploring the possibility that even though we may use the same grade of gas we normally do, that different gas stations have better gas than others. I always use 93 and I normally fill at the Marathon, on this tank I filled at the Circle K and I notice the gas mileage is worst even though it’s mostly highway miles. Is this something that’s widely known? I never thought of the possibility that it’s different but it does seem to be the case for me. It makes me wonder if it’s the brand of gas makes a difference like the grade of gas does. I would have thought it’s all the same but it’s looking like it’s not. Do you only go to a certain brand as well or do you feel this is all the same? With the gas prices being up a bit I think it’s worth looking into.

Which is a chain location This is how chains like Ruby Tuesday, IHOP, Applebees, Chili’s and more make extra revenue. There are over 9,000+ ghost kitchen operations in the US This is so dishonest and deceptive. It should be illegal. You think you’re ordering some special unique food, but it’s really just Applebees…..
