He called the song 'Lenny' which was an instrumental masterpiece released by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and it is the last track of their album Texas Flood. Mike Tomlin’s most underrated moment? I’m not sure if a lot of people remember this but when Mike Tomlin was a rookie head coach he was so obsessed with practice that he nearly doubled the amount of two-a-days that the Steelers usually had. Ed Bouchette even did an entire piece on this at the time. It was also one of the longest training camps the Steelers had. But after the team faded at the end of 2007, Tomlin blamed himself when most head coaches would likely stay the course and force his players to get used the rigorous schedule. For any fans of Steelers history, staying such a course would likely bring to mind Bill Austin. But Tomlin did what Austin didn’t. He changed his practice schedule. Changed how he approached training camp. Changed what he personally focused on during practice. If you recall, he focused an unnatural length of time on special teams during his 2007 practices but, in 2008, he learned to trust his ST coach. He reduced the amount of two-a-days and went from one of the team’s longest training camps in 2007 to one of their shortest in 2008. And the Steelers won the Super Bowl that year. ⬇️ They touched on this in America’s Game.

47 years passed since its first appearance but its impact is still the same as it was in the first place. It was May the 16th, 1978, just before 3 days from the release of Dire Straits' epic single 'Sultans of Swing' which is in their self-titled album. The band took the stage live at The Old Grey Whistle Test and performed that legendary, invaluable, and amazing song, Sultans of Swing. This footage is one of the earliest footage of the band and it is beyond perfection since there was no release back in that time from Dire Straits. The band's sound, playing, and whole live performance is just obviously amazing and it also sounds as great as the album version. What an incredible live performance!

‘More Than This’ came right at the end [of the UP album recording] and I’d started a thing with guitar samples. I was mucking around with guitars and Daniel Lanois left his beautiful Telecaster here. I can’t play guitar to save my life but I can make noises on it. I’d always liked it and in fact it was actually driving through the Italian Alps, again it is one of these scenic detours, and I found this old cassette which had this stuff on it where I’d been playing around with a different groove and that started all to make sense to me at that point. - pg More Than This was released as a single on 30 December 2002. Performance filmed in the Big Room at Real World Studios earlier that same year.
