Thanks so much to all who’ve watched this piece so far. Here’s more of our reporting.

, the biggest district in GA, has used balanced literacy for over two decades. Even as they are talk about changing, they have made no significant progress. They failed my child & are continuing to fail children! It takes strong leaders to turn the tide in districts who have been doing it wrong for too long!

@jayobtv Thomaston Georgia needs better teaching for reading! My grandson is in 3rd and struggling to read.

@jayobtv @denelleknowles @SuptCalvinWatts @annamarysmith @blbbrush @BMostaghimi @KarenWa54834274 @DrTarece @ElectDrSimmons this is where @GwinnettSchools should be headed!

@jayobtv If ableminded children can't read by third grade, that's a horrible school district, with even more horrible parents.

@jayobtv This IMPORTANT story could be a series to raise awareness to build a literate nation. I would love to share my thoughts/ideas.

@jayobtv Ok not go back to teaching math the old way too......

@jayobtv If reading is taught properly, proficiency rates around 90% are attainable, even in high poverty Appalachia. See this for more:

@jayobtv Free preschool! Increase funding for tutoring. Book exchange.
