BANNON: Lutnick says H-1Bs have collapsed bc of the new fees and it’s not a problem anymore. JENKS That’s absolutely not true. The H-1B cap is full for this year and 2027. The foreign student to OPT to H-1B pipeline is alive and well, and the $100K fee doesn’t even apply to those workers. Just ask any American tech worker. They’ll tell you exactly what the problems are with H-1B.

The goal used to be “Made in America,” but it should must be “Made in America by Americans.” If you’re making in America but importing H-1B workers from India, you’re not Made in America—you’re “Made in America…by foreigners.” Qualified Americans can do everything right, yet Fortune 500 companies will still fire them (or refuse to hire them in the first place) and then import cheap, exploitable H-1Bs and force Americans to train their foreign replacements.
