Just added recursive debris fracturing to my real-time destruction system in Unreal Engine. Large chunks now break into smaller pieces on impact, fully custom and runtime. Voronoi-based cuts are in progress! 😀🥳 #UnrealEngine5 #gamedev #indiedev #destroy

That’s awesome! Love how clean the fracture transitions are 💥

Thank you! Yeah, that's the idea ! 😃 Hopefully will get more videos done.. also I've tested on a 3080 and goes over 200 fps 😂

🤠 We're a small indie team making a Space Western game that mix together cRPGs like the original Fallout and top-down shooters like Ruiner. Featuring real-time combat, organic roleplay, and a deep narrative with different endings 🚀 👉 Wishlist on Steam

It looks great!!

Thank you! Hopefully will add more videos soon !

This looks awesome. Curious though, does it cause any performance issues?

Not really.. the code is written in C++ and runs on separate threads for heavy operations. On 3090 cards the FPS goes even over 200 ! Might have to post a video with FPS visible.. also, this one was recorded with a quite low end GFX card (GTX 1050 Ti)

that is awesome, do you have catapults in your game by any chance?

No, but it's very easy to add them! Good idea tho.. thanks!

This is so good! Are you going to release any version to FAB?

Thanks so much! 😊 I’ve been thinking about releasing it on FAB, but for now I’m focused on extending the system further. Also.... just wanted to say I really love your video tutorials, they’ve been super helpful!
