The reason why Reflections in GTA 6 look noisy and blurry isn't because Rockstar Games doesn't know how to do them or that a $2 billion budget magically fixes this. It all comes down to the GPU in current gen consoles, these consoles don't have the power they need to render high resolution Ray Traced reflections in real-time and corners had to be cut. Here I'm running GTA 5 enhanced for PC at ultra settings to show you how good and clean the reflections look if you have high-end and recent hardware that have AI upscaling to make this possible. That being said, The PS5 Pro console is much more powerful compared to the base PS5 (the footage which GTA 6 was captured) offering higher resolution, 45% faster rendering, 2X-3X better Ray Tracing performance and PSSR upscaling. With the PS5 Pro, it will have significantly better looking and sharper reflections somewhat close to what GTA 5 Enhanced reflections look like on a gaming PC at high settings. Even though we've only seen snippets of how the underwater looks like in GTA 6, I can't wait to see what Rockstar Games has done this time. Grand Theft Auto V underwater exploration was awesome for its time and I always found myself exploring multiple areas because of how calming it is. With GTA 6 I'm expecting Rockstar Games to add even more sea creatures and mysteries like this UFO one in GTA 5

Fun Fact from Grand Theft Auto IV #13 Snow weather was considered and even partially implemented in Grand Theft Auto IV. These snow related files were found within the game and thanks to Fusion Fix on PC you can enable this snow mod at any time with a simple cheat code. Honestly, I do think GTA IV looks so good with this kind of weather as it gives it so much more depth, its a shame Rockstar didn't fully implement snow and have seasons in this game because it looks incredible!

My biggest worry regarding GTA VI is if Rockstar Games will be able to deliver a 30+ FPS mode I don’t know how I will be able to enjoy it if it is going to be strictly locked at 30FPS. I tried playing GTA V Enhanced on Fidelity Mode that runs at a locked 30FPS and my eyes simply aren’t used to this 😭

One of the Grand Theft Auto V downsides was that it didn't match GTA IV in terms of euphoria ragdoll physics, in this example here you can see how easily the NPCs die when you shoot them on the foot. Part of the reason why I believe the euphoria engine was downgraded was due to the scale of GTA V and that it was designed for PS3/Xbox 360 consoles. Fast Forward a generation later, Red Dead Redemption 2 is much better compared to this, but I still prefer the one in Grand Theft Auto IV. When GTA VI comes out, perhaps we will see a more improved version of euphoria ragdoll physics which will be a mix of both GTA IV style ragdolls and Red Dead Redemption 2.

What Rockstar Games did with GTA V in terms of optimization on a PS3 console is mindblowing! This level of traffic here is so dense that I struggle to make sense on how exactly they've made this possible on a console that has only 512MB total memory system, hell compare that to Windows 11 which averages to 5GB of RAM usage during idle and you can see how little resources Rockstar Games had working with here. If you remember, when Cyberpunk 2077 launched on PS4, Night City was practically a Ghost Town when you drove a car due to how much it would affect the framerate. Even most open-world games today don't add heavy traffic to save on resources, but GTA V is out here squeezing every last drop of my PS3 console just to add this number of vehicles for seemingly no reason all I can say is that Rockstar really knows how to push the limits of what a console can achieve and I can't wait to see what they're going to do with Grand Theft Auto 6.

I tested out how The RX 9070 XT handles Path Tracing in Witcher 3 Remastered and it runs surprisingly well at 4K external resolution (FSR Performance and Frame-gen enabled) I'm definitely not going to play the game this way as the visual differences between Ray Tracing Ultra and Path Tracing are not that visible but if anyone has been wondering if it is possible to play the game like this, it certainly is. AMD 26.9.2 driver has just been released and The Witcher 3 Remastered graphical issues and artifacts have been fixed.

I'm always blown away by the fact that Rockstar Games casually made some of the best and most realistic water physics in 2008. GTA IV is the prime example of Rockstar Games focusing heavily on bringing realistic physics in a video-game. Everything from how a car handles, NPC ragdoll and water simulation in Grand Theft Auto IV was way ahead of its time and it even beats most of AAA games that we've seen these past few years when it comes to those game mechanics. Imagine how much ahead GTA 6 is going to be now that Rockstar Games has much more processing power to work with on current gen consoles

It feels like we've finally reached the point where the latest Assassin's Creed game has Unity lighting, but in real-time. The reason why AC: Unity looked so good back then and still holds up extremely well to this day is because it uses baked lighting. Real time global illumination allows for a full day and night cycle.
