Labour's changes to welfare are unjust, uncaring, and will create a two-tier benefits system. Cutting vital support for disabled people who need help to get washed and dressed will not help a single person into work, but it will cause more pain and misery for the most vulnerable

It's all too rushed. They want it pushed through tomorrow regardless that the assessment on impact isn't done . They don't care and they are not learning or listening

Many Of those who get PIP/UC health element are the poorest in our society. According to Miss Liz Kendall there are 2.8 million people who are economically inactive. Job vacancies in the UK is 736,000. What do the other 2 million do? Live on £100 a week in profiteering Britain.

I have a healthy 26 year old son with a masters and he has put in 100s of applications without success. Labour want to take money away from the disabled saying they would be better off working- have I got that right? So my next question is where are the fucking jobs coming from?

Perhaps a new bill could be introduced where any new MPs will be paid half of what every other MP is getting. No top ups, no expenses and certainly no ‘perks’. Do you think MPs would vote for that?

I'm labour, but I see you as my labour family, Tim.. The reason being, they/we will listen to you. x We're having an argument, so what? Good. Let's get a good outcome. It's not Liz Truss.

She really is so conderxemding isn’t she? How is anyone supposed to trust her And it says it all how she keeps saying current people will be ‘protected’ from her reforms. Almost like she knows that they’re wrong. Almost but I don’t think she cares

Unjust to those making an effort, only 6% of assessments done face to face. Define disabled rather than prattle on

Universal Credit cuts support for startup founders who need it also. Working Tax Credit worked fine. Now we're forced to DWP with their get a job mentality who don't understand or care about what we do. Would happily accept less to get them out of the picture, like how it was.

The bill for "welfare benefits" has ballooned and is unaffordable. And it 's clear that some are exploiting it. In addition we are paying £billions to immigrants. Just what exactly do you suggest we do?

Yvette Cooper comments on Lizz Kendal's cut's to welfare Dear Yvette Cooper its fair to say that everyone would like to see those younger people who are out of work to get into the work force and be productive members of society But Labour's message is absolutely awful Labour should not be cutting PIP, and indeed throughout your time in opposition, Labour constantly criticised the Conservative government for denying help and support to those who are genuinely disabled by having such a harsh system Now in government, Labour are making the system even more harsh, just to balance the books of the weakest in society to meet Chancellor Rachel Reeve's self imposed fiscal rules, while ignoring a wealth tax on those with £10m+? Yes, the announcement of £1 billion to help people who can work, get into work is a good thing But if you put more energy into that, you would find those who can work will work and that would automatically bring down the support they need from the welfare budget So Labour have two problems. Really bad messaging, and really bad policy decision making - which may have some good well intention underlying these policies And though a little less relevant, but a minister and her husband combined earning more than £750,000 a year cutting support to the poorest and most in need in our society is not a good look I do not decry Kendal and her husband's success, by all means earn high figures, and have a good quality of life, we should absolutely be encouraging this for everyone who can But the optics and the way this has been done, doesn't help the disabled person currently massively concerned about their economic position Do better Labour
