Last week, our BE-7 team conducted another successful Thrust Chamber Assembly (TCA) test at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Test Stand 116. Our tests on an upgraded TCA bring our cumulative test time to more than 4000 seconds, and we are on track in our engine development path.

Raptor has over 1000 tests where multiple of them are full duration of a few minutes. Your 4000 seconds commutative does not have much meaning. In fact, if Starship launch, they will have 4000 seconds of engine running in one launch. 120 sec * 33 engines

10 successful ignitions. 790 seconds of cumulative hot-fire time for the ARCOS Thrust Module. Our latest ARCOS TCA hot-fire campaign at the German Aerospace Center DLR - English marks a major milestone in the development of our in-house methalox thrust chamber assembly. The campaign demonstrated stable and repeatable operation across a wide operating envelope (60–105% thrust and multiple mixture ratios), validating a deeply throttleable core thrust module to be replicated across ARCOS’ aerospike architecture. Reliable ignition and shutdown, stable chamber pressure behaviour, and no critical structural damage were observed after testing. A key step forward towards full ARCOS aerospike engine assembly — and for Europe’s propulsion capabilities. A huge thank you to our team for always pushing the limits and overcoming every challenge along the way; and to German Aerospace Center (DLR) team for their continuous support and collaboration. #PoweringSpace

This month, we celebrated our 200th day of hot fire testing on the Mobile Test Stand (MTS)—a huge milestone on our journey to provide orbital and surface delivery services! Christened in March 2019, the MTS includes the avionics and propulsion systems required to perform development testing and performance verification of our main engine, motor valves, and avionics systems. The series of tests executed on our 200th test day advanced our performance, cooling, and stability objectives for the IM-3 main engine injector.

These latest tests advanced performance across 80lbf & 120lbf configurations, as BT-7 matures into our first in-house hypergolic bipropellant thruster, with applications on the Artemis III mission and future lunar vehicles.
