V-TAPER BACK WORKOUT A complete back session to build width, thickness, and a stronger V-shape. 1. Seated Cable Pulldown — 4 × 8–10 Sit tall with your thighs locked under the pads. Use a controlled grip on the handle. Start with your arms extended and your chest up. Pull the handle down toward your upper chest, driving your elbows down and slightly back. Squeeze your lats at the bottom, then return slowly to the start. Use a heavy weight you can still control. Targets: lats, upper back, and biceps.

The next time you do seated dumbbell curls, use a lat pulldown machine. This will prevent you from cheating to further isolate your biceps.

Single arm cable lat row has been a GREAT addition to my back days Always good to hit them from a different angle than your regular pulldown Tips: - neutral grip - think about driving elbow into hips, but do NOT bring elbow past and behind your back - keep the shoulder of the arm you're working down, and as far from your ear as you can - good stretch at front - go LIGHT on these - really find the lats here

Frame 1- Wrong way to perform a lat pulldown❌ Frame 2- Correct way to perform a lat pulldown✅ Cues: •Drive elbows down to hip •No leaning or slight lean is permissible •Don’t compromise elbow direction for ROM Note- This only applies if the exercise is performed for the shoulder adduction function of the lats.

Getting that V-shape comes down to building wider lats by targeting every part; the lower fibres that run almost vertically from the bottom of your back up along the sides, and the upper fibres that stretch almost horizontally across your back.

The Nautilus Pullover This is the machine Dorian Yates made famous If you’re going to use a Pullover variation to train your Lats…MAKE IT THIS ONE You can do an OK job of replicating it with a bench and cable but it’s not amazing As for Standing Lat Prayer vs. these… L O L

One of my favorite BICEP (also great on other exercises like a lat pulldown) building techniques: half rep to full rep 🔥 Why? Muscle confusion is a great way to introduce new stimulus on the muscle for development.

I really like cable curls because the resistance is pretty even throughout the entire rep. Especially if you put the cable a notch or two up from the bottom, and face away. That way it's pulling BACK in the stretch, rather than down 🧠

If you have lagging Arms and bringing them up to par is your TOP PRIORITY… I’d recommend doing something like this each week: Upper A • 2-3 sets of “The GREATEST Triceps exercise known to man” • 2-3 sets of Supinated Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support • 2-3 sets of Machine or Cable Overhead Extensions • 2-3 sets of Hammer Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support Upper B (Performed 3-4 days after Upper A) • 2-3 sets of Dip Machine • 2-3 sets of Machine or Cable Preacher Curls • 2-3 sets of “The GREATEST Triceps exercise known to man” OR Machine or Cable Overhead Extensions • 2-3 sets of Hammer Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support This will result in you doing somewhere between 8-12 sets of direct Bicep and Tricep work per week Low likelihood you need any more volume than that to improve your Arms mightily if following the notes below: 1) The ideal rep range to be using when performing the exercises mentioned is the 5ish to 10ish rep range — Choose a weight you can do for 5, 6, 7 reps @ 0-2 RIR…once you can do that weight for 8, 9, 10ish reps, increase the load by 5ish pounds 2) You should perform all reps of all the listed exercises with a controlled (but not overly slow) eccentric and an explosive (but still controlled) concentric 3) You should perform these exercises very early in your workout to ensure they are as efficient/effective as possible — If you perform them later on, you will not get as robust a growth stimulus from the sets because of the outstanding fatigue that will be present from the earlier sets/exercises in your workout Additional notes: - You may sub any of these exercises for comparable exercises due to preferences and/or equipment availability — Ex: Dip Machine subbed for Weighted Dips - I probably forgot something that I should’ve mentioned…if I think of it I’ll drop it in the post below

If you do not have a well-built Flat/Seated Chest Press Machine, your next best option for Flat Pressing is…. The Smith Machine “Doesn’t look as cool as a Barbell, bro” Did you want to look cool to all the people around you that aren’t even watching you anyway or be jacked???
