If this holds, we may lose much of the dry time Sunday. Outside of NW NJ, the Hudson Valley, and NW CT, rain could linger into Sunday afternoon. This all hinges on how quickly that low forms and moves offshore. Timeline: rain builds Saturday evening → peaks overnight into Sunday morning → very slow clearing. If the low fully forms and gets cut off, some rain could even hang on into Monday (as shown on this run). PIX11 News

We're closely monitoring some thunderstorms making their way across Texoma, North Texas, the Brazos Valley, and Southeast Texas at 2:50AM this morning. While these storms are mostly behaving, they are bringing frequent lightning, small hail, and heavy rain. The activity is moving quickly northeast. We expect to see an increase in thunderstorm activity in Southeast Texas over the next few hours. In the far eastern Panhandle, we have thundersnow and thundersleet heading into Oklahoma, leaving behind some freezing drizzle across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas—so be mindful of slick bridges and overpasses.
