I advise many people to read the ToS and especially the Privacy Policy of these third party age verification companies. Most likely you will find an entry stating that you are giving the right to the company to use/store/process your data however they please. Never trust them.

I really don't understand why all these companies are folding in towards this AI atmosphere and putting it all under the headline of "safety" when clearly it's all just old people at the top of these companies trying to make money 😭

This is at the end of the day meant to provide a false sense of security so parents think. "Oh, my kid can keep using Roblox because they said they have AI restricting it now."

So like what's stopping me from taking a picture of my mom or dad? Also the safety risk here is insane, like I would never trust Roblox with this kind of information after the data breaches that happen every year at RDC.

What about people who already verified via ID? Are they still going to make us take pictures in order to train the ai? This all sounds stupid to me

Please do some research. They are using a third party provider called Persona. It has a 98% accuracy rate. And if it doesn’t work, you can override it with a standard ID. Grifter..

someone could easily just hand their phone over to someone who actually looks older to pass verification.. also roblox should just come to realization that using AI is not the way. atleast not at this point in time AI is just not advanced enough.
