Homelessness in LA is a humanitarian crisis. And our response isn't working. The city has the money to fix this. But we are not moving urgently enough to use this money on what works and demand that every dollar we spend moves as many people off the streets and into safety as possible. Angelenos have voted three times to tax themselves to respond to this crisis with services and housing. What's been missing is someone willing to do the hard work to build a *system* that really works. I'm running to change that. Read my full at the link in bio.

Jake, who built a $50K/month alarm app in 4 months, says the most valuable skill right now isn't building it's... "Focus on top of funnel only. That is the most valuable skill right now is marketing. There's so many people that can build an app and it's so easy with AI, but there's not so many people that know how to market and know how to get views." "If nobody knows about your app, it doesn't exist. You can build as many features as you want." "Building doesn't really matter so much. You got to build a good product, of course. But getting views is more of the unknown."

Asmongold says the real enemy isn't immigrants, it's the fat piece of shit CEO hiring them for pennies "Instead of deporting the Haitians, well I'd do that too, but the first thing I'd do is I'd go after the business owners. These people that are hiring these guys for low wages, undercutting American wages, and then advocating to bring more of them into the country." "These people are selling out their entire country for a quick buck. There has to be a serious consequence for CEOs and business owners like this that monopolize and manipulate the labor of marginalized and vulnerable communities." "The real people that benefit from it are this fat piece of shit right here. This is the guy that's benefiting from these vulnerable and marginalized communities."

The most valuable decisions give you zero feedback tobi lutke explains ... "Intuition is actually the most valuable when there isn't direct feedback." Wait, what? "If there's many choices, like there's five things that look like good paths to go forward, and any of them has rapid feedback, everyone goes to that." "That is what we call short-termism, right?" But there are many ways to improve the company (and yourself). "Many of them involve long-term investment, refactoring, potentially going into a new market, potentially saying no to going into obviously new markets and actually doubling down and going deeper on our current market. Or we could do what increases the stock value. By the way, this one has a daily ticker and rapid feedback." so in this sense, it's the absence of rapid feedback can be a strong signal. "I find a very high correlation between the right path and the ones that don't have feedback loops attached."

This is what I mentioned in the Wednesday 7/29 close video "If we were to see a real flush, I mean, there's some real fear in this market now and some deleveraging and it would be interesting to hear all the disaster stories out there that we never hear about funds being liquidated and that sort of thing. But you better believe that's exactly what's happening is some big funds are getting liquidated. And that's why we get closes like this because these closes are a lot of times forced margin selling."

Saros dev Housemarque has grown to 120 staff members, plans are underway for their next game. "Mikael said that we are now truly a PlayStation first party [...] We just pinch ourselves… are we dreaming that we’re given this opportunity to create this thing? A new game, new IP with these resources? [...] Right now, we are talking about how to proceed with Saros and discussing with the community. But then, of course, what we should do in the future? There are interesting opportunities we’d like to look at that might not be at the scale of Saros."

The lads react to Saylor's $8.5 billion unrealized loss and the vicious cycle nobody wants to see: "The 32 Bitcoin sale isn't gonna move a trillion-dollar asset. But it signals to the market that he's open to selling. He needs to fund the dividends. Stretch is at 95% of par and selling off." "Stretch doesn't like it. Bitcoin doesn't like it. This is a potentially cascading, vicious cycle." "And look, I don't want to own an asset Saylor owns 3% of. I don't want to own an asset Tom Lee owns 5% of. That's just not what I signed up for."

MJF says his stance on CM Punk hasn’t changed and discusses the evolution of the AEW locker room: "How many times do I have to repeat myself? He's a piece of shit, but he's a great wrestler. There's no longer people in the locker room that look at my company as a stepping stone.... We had some guys that came in and they were like, 'I'm gonna show up and be the top guy and go back to Vince.' I don't have to look anyone in the eye at work and think to myself, this guy doesn't wanna be here. Everyone in my locker room wants to be here."

I think the fact is there are only going to be four or five of these companies that are able to raise the billions required to build the infrastructure to support these models. It's a global competition, and particularly against the Chinese right now because they're trying to beat us on AI, because the country with the best AI is gonna win all the wars. That's what's gonna happen. I think at the end of the day you want diversification in your portfolio, not just one stack. For me, I'm playing the picks and shovels. I'm building energy because you need energy for this stuff, and I'm building data centers. Now, there are different things, but right now we need more electrical power in this country beyond just data centers. We just need power because we got a booming economy.

THIS GUY BUILT A DEAD SIMPLE APP STORE SCREENSHOT MAKER app store screenshots are one of those things that look easy but take forever to get right you need the right device frame, the right dimensions for each phone size, text overlays, background colors, and it all has to look professional or nobody downloads your app most indie devs spend hours in figma doing it manually this guy just made a tool where you drop in your screenshot and it handles everything there's still a gap in the market for a proper AI powered screenshot creator that auto generates the whole thing from your app screens most tools in this space try to do too much and this one just does the one thing you actually need if you're shipping an app and dreading the screenshot process this will save you HOURS of work you were never going to enjoy doing anyway

It's all so fucking obvious and people are still desperate to trade it away. Look at everything that's happening right now… Banks and asset managers are moving their products onto blockchain rails and everywhere you look people are building AI agents. Liquidity is flowing, the Clarity Act is coming and the geopolitical noise looks like it might finally settle. It's all right in front of us. And the correct move is the boring one. Buy a handful of the highest-quality L1s, the ones capturing the real economic activity, and hold. That's the whole game right there. The people trying to be clever and trade this cycle are the ones who’ll eventually blow this up. The only way to lose from here is to overthink it.

I am absolutely disgusted at the stabbing last night of 10 people on the train to London, by two marauding men. This is shocking to all of us, but terrifies me personally since I use this train all the time to get to work. There is a clear and present danger to British people and the government simply want us to look the other way, as they tell us that this definitely isn't terrorism and, since the evil men were born here, this is somehow normal. It isn't. We shouldn't have to live like this.

"Young White men are the most competent and trustworthy demographic in this country by a long shot. No one has talked about this but there is a once in a millennia opportunity to blow all your competition out of the water. All you have to do is only hire young White men. Don't publicize it for obvious reasons. You don't want to make yourself a target. But you probably have a 10-20 year window where your competition is still discriminating against the best talent in the world while hiring low IQ scamming foreigners. Pick any market, hire the young White men in that market who are being discriminated against and replaced with indians and within 10 years you'll be the market leader."

This animal has been going so viral." "If you think back, maybe you were already in meme coins last year, but we’ve seen similar situations before." "Like Peanut the Squirrel, which was a meme coin that ended up going to a $2 billion market cap. People literally made tens of millions of dollars from coins like that." "So there’s some serious money here." "When something like solana:Ge87EtsjwRQbHaqQmKRno69RFTwh9bfSsm99XNxTpump happens, when a coin that’s two days old touches $23 million in market cap, you have to pay attention." Chamath and Larry Summers Debate the Market Reaction to Trump's Tariffs Lawrence H. Summers: "If this is such a terrific thing, why do markets think it's so terrible for the American economy?" "Maybe the market's just completely wrong ... but the job of markets is to look forward." "It's to look passed the immediate." "It's to see what the long run consequences are going to be." "And markets are making a pretty devastatingly negative judgment on this step." Chamath Palihapitiya: " Larry, that's not true." " So let's just establish a couple facts about 'the markets.'" "Number one, there are two markets and they behave totally differently, and sometimes inversely to each other." "There's the stock market and there's the bond market." 1) Stocks: mean reversion "With respect to the stock market, what they are debating, and you're right Larry, is what is the effective long-term rate of return a dollar needs to generate in order to pay me back that dollar?" "That is what the fundamental stock market does." "And what we've seen for many years with trade imbalances, trade deficits, and close-to-zero interest rates, of which more of that happened under Democrats than Republicans, we have allowed the stock market to inflate past historical averages." " What we've actually seen happen in the last week is what most people would call mean reversion." "The stock market is still way above where it was last year, two years ago, three years ago." "What has happened is that the forward multiples have compressed. So that's number one. That's a fact." 2) Bonds: it's possible a major trade blew up "And then with respect to bonds, what we are seeing now is there are two very complicated issues." "In the last two days, we saw one part of the bond market totally get out of whack." "And what we know is that the yields changed materially in a very acute way, which is atypical of how the bond market typically digests a philosophical change in approach to policy." " What we heard in the last 24 hours is a lot of this move may have been attributed to an enormous levered bet on US treasuries by a Japanese hedge fund." " It will take three, and four, and five, and six weeks for us to really know." 3) Private credit: something to watch closely " Separately, what we do know, though, where the structural complexity of the market — and this is where, Larry, I agree with you — is acute and important to observe is in the credit markets for private companies." "And that is where you have to pay a lot of attention."
