@123wastedtime this is still the best use of the saturn music player

@123wastedtime Saturn as a CD player is genuinely underrated. The audio quality on those consoles was no joke and the interface was actually pretty usable. True retro multitasking.

I had some downtime after work today, so I added preliminary support for loading Sega CD games from disk without dumping on SuperStation. It works very well! I’ll try Sega Saturn when I get a chance.

It's the 31st anniversary of the USA release for the Sega Saturn. Sadly, it was unpopular there, so many Americans disregard it. Still, there is a small but dedicated American fanbase. Cheers to all my American friends who still play Sega Saturn!

When I heard Daytona USA was coming to the Sega Saturn, I sold all my other consoles and saved up for it. Finally got the Saturn and Daytona running at home—total mind-blow 🤯. Sure, it wasn’t quite arcade-perfect, but just being able to play it at home was enough. By the time Dreamcast came around, the port was almost flawless. Fun fact: Saturn was almost done as a 2D machine, but after seeing PlayStation’s 3D power, Sega tweaked it late—3D performance ended up a bit lacking. Irony is, the same Sega that pioneered 3D with Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter thought consoles weren’t ready yet.

I really love the water effects in #TombRaider for the #SEGA Saturn! Also the Saturn version also has refractive water surfaces! I think the PS1 version lacked that effect. The Saturn graphical capabilities is so fascinating!

I love the sega Saturn and also wanted to make a game engine and with the jojo engine was really want I always wanted so I am making a front end engine that emulates the Saturn... Idk pretty chuffed with the visuals... #retrodev #segaSaturn

Added preliminary support for loading Sega Saturn games from disk without dumping on SuperStation. It needs some additional work to make it more seamless. PC-Engine CD is next.
