Over the course of the night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces neutralized more than 400 drones, which is a significant result – achieved by our unmanned systems units, army aviation, and mobile fire groups. Electronic warfare did its job. Some of the missiles were also shot down – although, of course, it is extremely difficult to counter ballistic and aeroballistic missiles. Only a few systems in the world are capable of intercepting such missiles effectively – and to protect our entire territory, we need far more of these systems and the missiles for them. We are working with the United States to purchase additional Patriots, and we are very much counting on the support. I am grateful to every leader, to every one of our friends in Europe, in America, in Asia, who is trying to help.

This girl used to attend a mosque to learn the Quran. After being beaten by a cleric, she lost her eyesight. Afghan parents often send their daughters and sons to mosques for religious instruction, believing they are giving their children a proper religious education. Yet far too often, what these children are exposed to is not education at all, but physical abuse, humiliation, and, in some cases, sexual violence. What I find even more disturbing is that some Afghans who have moved to the West do not use the opportunity to learn from the societies around them or to give their children access to a modern, open education. Instead, they seek out the same clerics they left behind and bring them into their children's lives through online platforms, allowing them to shape and sometimes indoctrinate their children's minds with extremist and deeply anti-Western ideas. My heart weeps for our community in #Ghana following the passing of the stringent anti-LGBTQ law a few hours ago. This legislation, one of the most severe in Africa, not only perpetuates the punishment of LGBTQ+ individuals but also criminalises the vital support and advocacy for these communities. It’s a dark day for human rights in Ghana, and my thoughts are with everyone who now faces even more significant challenges in living their truth. As the Director General of Uganda Key Populations Consortium , I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of community and the resilience of those fighting for their right to love and exist freely. The passage of this law is a stark reminder of the battles still ahead in the journey toward equality and justice. Now, more than ever, our brothers and sisters in Ghana need our support and solidarity. We must rally to amplify their voices and challenge this affront to human dignity. The fight for human rights knows no borders, and we stand with the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana, advocating for a world where everyone’s rights are protected and cherished. These days, a Ukrainian delegation, including the First Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, representatives of the General Staff, and the Head of the Office of the President, is working in Washington. There have been meetings at various levels, and one of our top priorities is securing long-range capabilities for our Defense Forces. This is crucial to preventing the terror that our Kharkiv and other cities across Ukraine are forced to endure. Clearing Ukrainian skies of Russian guided bombs is a powerful step toward forcing Russia to seek an end to the war and a just peace. Our representatives have provided all the necessary information and details to our partners. I am calling on the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – we need the means to fully and effectively protect Ukraine and its people. We need permissions for long-range capabilities, as well as your long-range shells and missiles. Making these vital decisions cannot be delayed – these are the actions that can have the most significant impact on the course of events. We are also discussing air defense with our partners – systems that are especially needed now, before the start of the school year, to provide more safety for Ukrainian children in schools, for our cities, and our energy infrastructure. We have agreements with partners on air defense systems and missiles for these systems. It's crucial to implement everything as quickly as possible. Today, we can already say there is a good result for our air defense – Ukraine now has more Patriots. I thank Chancellor Merz, I thank Germany, and everyone who helps – our agreements have been fulfilled. More Patriots are now in Ukraine and being put into operation. Of course, more systems are needed to protect key infrastructure sites and our cities across the entire territory of Ukraine, and we will continue working to obtain them – not only at the political level with states and leaders but also directly with manufacturers of all necessary air defense systems and missiles for them.

This is just shifting blame away from those who actually hold power to blame the people who operate within systems created by the people in power. when those systems are corrupt or broken, society reflects it. That’s not proof that the people are worse; it’s proof that leadership has failed. Saying people can’t do better is also false. History shows that when citizens demand accountability, organize, and push for reform, systems improve. Dismissing them outright is not insight but defeatist thinking. As a retired Combat Veteran, the words of these 6 politicians are sedition in its most obvious form. (18 U.S.C -2387) Sedition covers ~ knowingly " Urging-Advising- Counseling, members of the Armed forces to disobey lawful orders. The President of the United States is the Commander in Chief not these 6 politicians who favor open borders and unlawful acts that are carried out against the United States of America. These 6 traitors are calling on the armed forces to start a coup against the chain of command because they do not like a political stance by the President to enforce the laws of this great nation. All 6 of these people should be arrested and stand trial for treason and violating their oath. And those that say they are former Military and did not formerly resign their commission should be recalled to active duty and face courts martial for high crimes and treason against the United States of America under the UCMJ.

When Ukraine addresses partners, requesting air defense systems that they have in warehouses and bases but that are needed here, in Ukraine, to protect lives, we are talking about genuine allied action. We in Ukraine value the efforts of all leaders and states who are truly active, keep their promises, and work hard to improve the capabilities of our air shield. Russian terrorists have already had enough time—years—to destroy Ukrainian life. This year cannot be a year of further discussions. Everything is very specific. Ukraine needs air defense, and partners can help us with that. We need artillery, and the world has it. Only a sufficient number of air defense systems and fighter jets can drive the Russian aviation away. Decisions must be made. And they are possible. Everyone around the world who truly desires peace must not be afraid to demonstrate force in order to defend life.
