The Problem w/ extension drills !!! Too many hitters try to “muscle” the swing. They squeeze the bat, fight the barrel, and kill all the natural whip that creates real power. The best hitters don’t force the barrel — they release it. Loose hands allow the barrel to move freely and naturally through the zone. It doesn’t mean lazy or sloppy. It means relaxed enough to let your body’s sequence — not tension — deliver the barrel. Think: smooth → quick → explosive. When your hands are loose, your forearms and wrists stay live.
