(I hope I don’t get in trouble for showing this, since it’s not officially out yet!) this is what the in-headset steam link experience looks like when connected to a steam machine (SteamOS 3.9 w/ latest SteamVR beta). The headset and steam machine settings are integrated!

Valve has been updating the Steam Link app for visionOS quite regularly Thought I would show it off again. Especially since I have the official Steam Controller to play alongside it I'd pretty much recommend it to any other AVP users for reliable PC game streaming at this point

dbrand has sold out of both versions of its Companion Cube case for the Steam Machine. >The full Companion Cube version costs 129.95 dollars. It includes a special box that looks like a test chamber, a skin for the Steam Controller, and other extras. >The simpler Poverty Cube version costs 99.95 dollars and comes with basic cardboard packaging. Both versions sold out quickly on the dbrand website even though the Steam Machine itself is not shipping until summer 2026.

Now we also have a native version of Steam Link for Vision Pro in Beta! It focuses on playing your non-VR library wirelessly to your headset. Applying all the best settings for that experience Includes controller input, microphone passthrough, variable ratio/curvature, and more

Turns out when you die, your Steam games do too. A guy asked Valve about passing his games to his family, and the answer came back in writing. "I regret to inform you that your Steam account cannot be transferred via a will."

This is likely the last teaser I'll make on this as I really should have this video done this week. Here is using Windows exclusively with a controller only, rebooting the system and only using the controller to sign in and have it launch straight into Steam Big Picture Mode.

I vibe coded Steam, but for the browser. Imagine the retro and indie titles you love, running in WebAssembly and WebGPU at near-native performance. With full controller support! Drop a comment/like below if you dig it. Actively looking for feedback

Valve does talk about SteamVR support on Steam Machine: They are focusing on streaming support to Frame, and then headsets like the Quest But also have roadmapped tethered support to headsets like the HTC Vive and Valve Index (Thanks Tested for always asking about VR)

When Gabe Newell called Linux "the future of gaming" in 2013, many in the industry were skeptical. Valve launched Steam for Linux anyway. Fast-forward a decade: the Linux-powered Steam Deck launched, leveraging Proton to run thousands of PC titles seamlessly on SteamOS, an operating system rebuilt on an Arch Linux base. What began as a bold bet on open source transformed handheld PC gaming forever. Video courtesy: SuperTux Team, via Steam #Linux35

If I keep up this pace, I’ll finish the Half-Life 1 port for Symbian. There’s still a lot to fix, but things are progressing well. #Nokia #HalfLife #Valve #Steam #Symbian
