Nancy Guthrie LE said they know the motive for the abduction of Nancy and they have known it from the beginning. Abduction 2/1 Ransom note to local media 2/2 Ransom note to TMZ 2/3 Kidnapping for Ransom. Nancy sadly died. The kidnappers didn't care and tortured the family with 2 notes knowing the FBI would not recommend paying a ransom without proof of life. Nancy Guthrie "We live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated." -Savannah Guthrie What was in this ransom demand? What did the family and LE see that has caused them to take this ransom demand so seriously. The FBI should be able to tell of the a voice or image was manipulated. It is clear, they are unsure. Savannah said, "Talk to her and you will see." Clearly they believe she could be alive and in the hands of her abductors. Savannah said they are ready to talk. I have been involved in 3 kidnapping cases in 28 years. The demands came right away, not after 3 days. This note was fashioned by BAU, no doubt. Try to establish some empathy for the hostage. Open lines of communications. Indicate you are ready to negotiate. All of that was done. It still makes no sense that after 3 days and after LE is so involved that a ransom demand would come now. Normally, contact would have been made with the family right after the abduction and before LE was contacted. This case is rubbing against my experience and does not meet with other kidnapping cases I was involved with or studied. Again, if this is a hoax, it is the cruelest hoax I have seen. Praying for the family. #NancyGuthrie

LE is taking them seriously because they described a broken flood light, the location of Nancy's watch and gave deadlines. They have to run this lead to ground and arrest the sender(s). Nancy Guthrie The worst news of the day: Director Patel making it clear that the FBI is only assisting on Nancy's case & that has always been the FBI's role. (I see this as washing their hands of responsibility for the case) Meanwhile, Sheriff Nanos says he can't comment about the ransom notes because the FBI is in charge of them. Reuters, seems like your reporting may have been off-base. Likely, the "source" was speaking of the TMZ 12 extortion notes. Anyway, back to square one. A few years ago Jessi asked me if I would be interested in being her next co-host for the Bardown Beauties Podcast. People have always asked me how that came to be and this is how. I knew of Jessi when I started working with the Wild, and interacted with her initially when I was a guest on the podcast and then she and Alexis were guests on the show I hosted for the Wild at the time. But, the first summer I spent working for DaBeauty League was where I went from knowing Jessi as a professional and got to know Jessi on an incredibly personal level. This was the stuff we did that summer. We talked about life, we had fun, and she signed herself up to get some of her hair shaved off. This is one of the videos I’ve watched over and over these last few days because this is where it really all started and I’m forever grateful for it.
