We should stop this. Airlines will make the standing seats be the same cost as seats now and then will increase the cost of sitting seats. We have seen this with the baggage fees. This will screw everybody. They are not doing this to lower cost but to increase it.

The reason I will never fly without assigned seats! The man in the aisle is refusing to find another seat because the lady seated is saving the two seats beside her on a Southwest flight. She is holding the two seats for her niece and nephew who are flying with her, but the man refuses to sit somewhere else because of the “principle” of her holding the seats. Ruby Cosby was attempting to board a flight to LAX on February 28 when a Southwest agent told her she needed to pay an additional $450 for another seat. Big one from Emirates.... they’re retiring the 615-seat A380 layout (world’s highest capacity passenger jet) on all 15 of those high density frames. The 58 Business + 557 Economy setup that packed them in is done. Starting with the first ones in April, full conversion by November 2026 to a new 569 seat three class: 76 Business (+31%), 56 new Premium Economy (2-4-2 with 40” pitch) and 437 Economy (-120 seats). Non economy seats jumping from 9% to 23%. IMO: this is Emirates going all in on premium yields instead of just filling every seat.... makes business sense but the old super dense A380 was legendary for sheer size. You think this is the right move for the future or will we miss the absolute capacity king?

Train Reservation Vs Gender Reservation ➡Man is travelling on a reserved seat with his family in an overcrowded sleeper coach of the Indian railways . ➡ A Woman is asking him to give his seat to ladies.The logic is that a Man is not suppose to sit when ladies especially old ladies are standing. ➡ The Man has booked his seat in advance while the women are travelling probably on a general ticket which is not authorised for travelling in a sleeper class coach. ➡Many people give their seats to ladies and elderly people in buses and trains but that's their choice and it can not be forced on them. ➡By this logic an able bodied adult Man can never get a seat in any public transport in the country. ➡Morality is a choice not a compulsion .
