I've been playing The Killing Antidote by OUR VIDEO GAME IS OUT NOW! and I know it looks like yet another eye-candy game but it actually has some solid gameplay. The combat feels decent, the world is fun to explore and it is not just about the aesthetic… though I have to admit, it doesn't hurt (I am biased, I like fan service). Still a bit rough since it is in Early Access but definitely has potential!

Driving in Samson is stiff. These specific missions where you're tasked to destroy other cars are a pain in the butt to finish due to the input delay while driving. Driving straight forward is no issue, but as soon as there's a turn that you need to take or come to a stop. It feels like the car takes multiple seconds to respond, whenever that is by design or not, I don't like it. At first I suspected that this could be caused by frame-gen but I had it turned off from the beginning. There's also this damage boost mode while you're driving (reminds me of Franklin's driving focus in GTA V), you deal extra damage with a car but it didn't seem like it worked properly at all and also made the car even more difficult to control.

Holy Shxt... Humans have officially become the bottleneck. I built a system around Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki. Every employee's responsibilities, workflows, and operational context are captured in the LLM Wiki, allowing the system to understand how work is organized before execution begins. From a digital twin workspace, I can issue a single command, and the system decomposes it into specialized skills for each business function. Each skill handles its domain, then hands off its output to the next agent until the workflow is complete. Codex is the default execution engine, while OpenClaw and Hermes are accessed through a bridge whenever they're better suited for a task. For operations requiring security permissions, a human simply approves the request, and the agents take over from there. It feels like the human role is shifting from doing the work to managing, approving, and supervising the system. Now I can operate the company's infrastructure from anywhere.

RIP gen 2 Coyote. Customer states check engine light is on and it feels like it’s in limp mode. They just had an oil change 9 miles ago and thought the noise was just the “coyote tick” Nah it’s toast. Cam timing off on bank 2 but #8 is down with some scoring on the cylinder wall. #7 next to it is good. The uneven cranking definitely gave it away. It’s not in limp mode it’s just hurt.

Never underestimate the speed at which visionOS is evolving. Just three weeks later, with the latest beta, the Logitech Muse now supports almost any app and can be used for input across the entire system. I tested it with my favorite drawing app, TouchDesk, and it’s incredibly smooth – it feels just like using an Apple Pencil since you don’t even have to press a button to draw. You just touch the desk. There’s no lag, and it even provides subtle haptic feedback while drawing. The last time I reviewed it, I wasn’t entirely sure I could recommend it, but with the new system-wide support coming to visionOS, I think it’s now a must-have for every Vision Pro enthusiast.

We don’t blow up boats off Miami because 25% of the time suspicion is wrong. We shouldn’t do it off Venezuela either. These are small outboards with no fentanyl and no path to Florida. We can’t just kill indiscriminately because we are not at war. It’s summary execution! Everyone gets a trial because sometimes, the system gets it wrong. ANIMATION TIMING a Thread 🧵 by “F” #Animation timing is an EXTREMELY tricky, specialized art form all its own, and VERY few people are actually, truly “great” at it. The scene below from the first #FairlyOddParents movie “Abra-Catastrophe” was storyboarded, designed, directed, written and TIMED by me. It looks like shit. Why? Because someone other than me who was in a role of authority to do so went in and changed my original timing. This scene was supposed to be frantic, kinetic, exciting and energized. Instead, it’s klunky, slow and awkward. (FUN FACT: I intended it to be a nod to the Yoda/Dooku duel in “Attack of the Clones”) This was a stylistic choice somebody who wasn’t me made. Choices like this are usually made out of a fear that the audience won’t be able to follow along if it moves too quickly, so what often happens is they will call for three times as many in betweens as necessary to “play it safe” and then speed it up in post production. The result is always ugly and jarring. It winds up looking like it doesn’t belong. Animation timing is a precise and delicate art form, and to do it well you need to have CONFIDENCE in your choices. For today’s maintenance reel: a look at the APU inlet differences between the Next Generation and the MAX. The NG, Classic, and even the Jurassic are all pretty similar, but the MAX decided to switch things up. Still not 100% sure why they redesigned the inlet system, probably to squeeze out a little extra fuel efficiency and shave off some drag. But here’s the catch: the APU door on the MAX takes forever to close. Something worth keeping in mind after shutdown and battery off, it’s not rare to see that door just a little bit open on the ramp. Enjoy this side-by-side comparison! I tried to follow just how hard Evo Moment #37 really is. First of all, the timing to block the very first hit of Chun-Li’s Houyoku-sen already makes no sense. Even after experiencing it dozens of times, I honestly couldn’t figure it out. And even if you somehow manage that, the 7–7–jump–1 sequence will fail if your rhythm is off by even 0.1 seconds. I think I succeeded maybe twice out of a hundred attempts. The fact that this was pulled off in a tournament, against a pro gamer, is mind-blowingly unbelievable. After actually trying it myself, it feels even harder to believe.

It feels like Metroid Prime 4 is coming in for a soft launch. The franchise keeps getting a backseat. Nintendo's just like: "meh, oh by the way here's some new gameplay." The dream: it would have been Switch 2 launch exclusive and propped up as something special from Nintendo. Squishing a new gameplay reveal between a bunch of "final" Switch 1 releases just feels lame. I get the economics. It's not a system seller, and performs modestly; and, why not give it the best shot possible across 100MM+ consoles (Switch 1 & 2)? But Samus should be treated like a star property. I'm not surprised at all. That said... I love me some Metroid Prime adventure and puzzles. New psychic powers should be fun. It's easy to lose confidence, but I suspect Retro will still delivery an awesome, reliable sequel after all these years.
