Next week will see more international work, including those with our EU partners. We will increase activity. This is also true for security commitments from partners. We are putting together new, strong bilateral agreements. January and February must produce more results in this area. We can already see specific... dates when such new and powerful documents may be signed. I am grateful to our entire team that participates in the relevant negotiations, as well as all leaders and nations that are prepared to take truly ambitious steps. By developing such a new security commitment architecture, we are effectively reanimating the system of international law. And when justice and security are restored in Ukraine, this will also work for the rest of the world. Our international activities for February are planned by the day. There will be more negotiations, meetings, and new agreements for Ukraine, which will strengthen our warriors. We are also currently working with a few countries on new security commitments, and the agreements we are preparing have the potential to be quite ambitious and substantive. I thank Chancellor Scholz and President Macron, as well as everyone on our teams, for preparing the agreements and putting exactly what we needed on paper. Today, we had a detailed discussion with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, joined by Lindsey Graham and Mark Rutte, on how to strengthen diplomacy, what steps are possible, and on security guarantees and the involvement of Europeans. It was a positive conversation. Thank you, Steve, Jared, Lindsey, and Mark. We agreed to strengthen security guarantees, and I have already instructed our team to promptly update the documents so that the security guarantees for Ukraine are strong, the prospects for post-war reconstruction are real, and everything is doable. Everything must be kept current. We see how the world is changing – how much can shift in a single moment. This concerns both alliances and security challenges alike. Ukraine must receive reliable security: this is the main task. I am grateful that the U.S. President’s envoys hear us and are ready to work together to find the right compromises, steps, and decisions. The key lies in how and what all of us discuss with Russia, and in how the documents are prepared, particularly those on security guarantees. So that Ukrainians clearly understand how partners will respond in the event of renewed Russian aggression, and what will actually deter Russia from aggression. We need strong, shared positions, and Ukraine’s contribution to this strength is unquestionable. We continue working with America. I thank everyone who is helping. Our values are what the Alliance believes in. Our defense is the very element of the formula of Europe that makes it united, free and peaceful. Vilnius must confirm all this. We are still working on the wording, that is, on the specific words of such confirmation, but we already understand the fact that 🇺🇦 will be in the Alliance, and we are working to make the algorithm for gaining membership as clear and fast as possible. Our work for this - the work of the entire Ukrainian team - will continue each and every minute of these days.

I thank our partners and Mark Rutte that the PURL initiative exists and is functioning – contributions were made this May. There will be contributions in June as well. Today, we discussed how we can accelerate and expand deliveries under this key program. I also thank all our partners who are already working with us on joint production and helping with funding so that weapons production in Ukraine can continue to grow. We discussed with the NATO Secretary General several other things that could provide Ukraine with stronger long-term financial security guarantees. We will keep working on this at both the G7 Summit and the NATO Summit in Ankara. Sanctions against Russia. Our long-range capabilities. Financing for Ukraine. Our political cooperation. We also expect that our partners will deliver the full package of air defense and other assistance to Ukraine – the very package agreed upon at the NATO summit in Washington this past July. Our Defense Minister has already held a series of meetings in France, the UK, and Germany. We are in constant communication with our American partners and highly value our cooperation with Italy. We are also well-prepared for the upcoming “Ramstein” meeting, which will take place soon. All the agreements we reach with our partners must be implemented as quickly as possible. When decisions are made swiftly, Russia doesn’t have time to adapt, and we achieve especially valuable results. We are also working with Germany on an additional IRIS-T, another powerful air defense system, as well as missiles for our existing systems. German leadership is tangible, and thanks to it, we will be able to save thousands of lives and provide Ukraine with a stronger defense against Russian terror. We will continue to work with all partners who can help in the same way. This week alone, I met with the presidents of Lithuania, Czechia, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, and Latvia. We also concluded a bilateral security agreement with Latvia. This week, I also spoke with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, and Ireland. Today, I had a call with the German Chancellor. We will make every effort to achieve even greater results in the coming weeks. I thank all Americans who work in defense enterprises and every state that manufactures weapons that are now really protecting democracy and our way of life. All of the current cooperation between Ukraine and the United States, as well as every sign of support for our protection, is strengthening both of our nations. They also strengthen all of our partners and the entire world, which wants to live by the rules rather than under conditions of violence and terror. We will make every effort to compensate for the half-year spent in debates and doubts. We must turn everything the occupier has accomplished during this time, as well as everything Putin intends to do, against him. All of his frontline actions, strikes on our energy system and infrastructure, and terror against our cities and villages must unite us all—everyone in the world who truly values life—around the need to increase pressure on Russia. It is critical that the agreements President Biden and I reached be fully implemented. Thank you, America!
