The CFL is making a bold move to evolve the game with a set of changes centred upon entertainment and innovation. Commissioner Stewart Johnston announced that changes will be instituted over the next two seasons through a phased approach. The most significant modifications will come in 2027 with goalposts being moved to the back of the end zone and the field being re-sized. In anticipation of these structural changes, beginning in 2026, the rouge will be modified and adjustments will be introduced to ensure more consistent game flow.

Police, along with riot control and rapid action forces, have set up barricades in Naya Nagar and 13 individuals have been arrested for disturbing the peace. Additional Commissioner of Police Shrikant Pathak at Mira Bhayandar issued an appeal to maintain peace in the area. "We are investigating the incident. Action will be taken against the accused only. I appeal to everybody to maintain peace. The Police have taken timely action. We are investigating the entire matter by looking at the CCTV footage. There are small miscreants which still try to create nuisance," he said, according to ANI.
