@dhh ARM64 support would need a separate build and testing. I don’t have ARM hardware, so I can’t promise anything, but if anyone has a Pi and wants to help test, I’d love to hear from you!

@dhh Thanks for flagging it. Poor word choice on my part. It's full Omarchy, and the omarchy/omarchy login is just a shortcut past setup. You can create your own account instead. Updated the page.

@dhh It should! The Linux version is a Flatpak that installs into your home folder, so it never touches the read-only part of the system. I would love to hear how it goes if you give it a shot.

@dhh I gave it a shot on Bazzite! The installation goes through, but launching it hits this error: Could not prepare the private camera connection: linked paths cannot be moved: /home. Any guidance is appreciated!

@dhh Tested it on a fresh NixOS 26.05 GNOME install and it works. The only extra step is enabling Flatpak, since NixOS doesn't by default: add services.flatpak.enable = true; to your configuration.nix and rebuild.

I’ve been running Ubuntu on my second machine for over a decade. After seeing another breakdown of Omarchy, this time from NetworkChuck, I’m fully making the switch today. He changed the entire desktop theme in seconds, used an AI agent to build a Quickshell plugin, handed a crashed process to the agent for diagnosis, ran games through Proton, and launched a Windows VM when Linux wasn’t enough. Omarchy isn’t just Arch with a nice desktop. It starts with Arch, Hyprland, Quickshell, and a keyboard-first workflow, then gives you an environment you can continue reshaping around how you work (the linux boys calls this ricing). I've seen a ton of posts about Omarchy but I am really struggling to know the specific reason you'd install an entire OS vs. say Clairvoyance. I mean this sincerely, is there something Omarchy does that Clairvoyance doesn't already do? You can just install this on your Mac, Windows (or even Linux) and you have basically an AI desktop shell.

Omarchy has a lot of really nice keybinds, but there's a lot. The only way I remember them is if I use them, but I can't use them if I can't remember them. That's why I built Omarchy Key Promoter, which is basically Key Promoter X for Omarchy. So if you access something manually that has a set keybind - eg, typing in Chromium instead of using "Super + B" - a small toast will appear in the bottom right with the keybind you could've used instead. Also, it adheres to the keybinds on your machine, not Omarchy defaults, so if you changed any keybinds it'll still work. Repo:

It takes longer to make it through the Windows first-boot obstacle course of offers and telemetry tricks than it does to install Omarchy from scratch!! It had already taken me 20+ minutes on a BRAND NEW machine to get to this. The enshittification is off the scales!
