What really bugs me its that now i have to double check if its AI or not. Not only because i dont value AI content (i value the time, effort or skill someone put into a painting or song) but also because of misinformation. This shithole is partly full of it and it sucks

most of what we see hasn't been real in a deep ontological sense for a while, I think these questions are not new, just that ai made them even more obvious People lying on the internet? when someone shared a story weren't you wary they did it for clicks before?

Mass psychosis is probably the entire intention of this stuff. Government propaganda, people losing their minds and happiness, deep fakes of political opponents that ultimately will lead to imprisonments or public violence against any early resistance figures. I hate it all.

I'm just going back and listening to 70s and 80s music instead of looking for anything new.

Good, everything has been fake and manipulated for a long time. Now people are finally forced to grapple with this fact rather than ignoring it.

The cat was never real for you. The "history" was always selected, and framed by a shot, the connection was a phantom. I get the crisis, I've been in one for a while, but I think it's a good opportunity to turn to actual human connection and to those around us, irl or not.
