After Robert Fripp disbanded King Crimson in 1974, fellow band members John Wetton and Bill Bruford searched for a new line-up and eventually joined forces with Eddie Jobson and Allan Holdsworth to form U.K., one of the most successful progressive supergroups of the 1970s.
