At the time of the MORRISON HOTEL sessions, Mack had actually quit the music industry to sell Bibles. He was recruited by the band to provide that signature "chugging" rhythm. The session was so high-energy that it reportedly inspired Mack to come out of retirement and jump back into his own music career. “Let it roll,” and listen to “Roadhouse Blues” here:
