One capability I want to see Tesla AI ensure FSD has is understanding situations like this where a trash loaded trailer is on the highway at speed and the software understands this could be a situation where debris might blow out of the trailer and move back or over...

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AI

Just updated to FSD v14.3.9 on the Cybertruck and speed control is still incorrect. Standard drives 38 in a 50 mph zone. This has now continued through 10 consecutive software releases. I’m not sure if the issue is with this truck or with the software or if Tesla AI is aware…

One of the biggest detractors from the FSD user experience is the last-second lane changes, often leading to completely missing, or narrowly missing an exit or turn. And at high speed, that’ll make the hairs on your neck stand up. Tesla has solved seemingly the hardest aspects of autonomy… yet this navigation/lane planning issue keeps showing up version after version. This is my official plea to Tesla AI please make navigation a priority.

This is TOO much of a coincidence! I just spotted a Cybercab in my college apartment parking garage in College Station,TX exactly where the critical disengagement in the quote below occured... (FSD v14.3.7 attempted to drive off the 6th floor of a parking garage). I first saw it outside my apartment, then I saw it INSIDE the apartment on the 6th floor of the garage. That is exactly where the incident occured, and it was parked a couple parking spots away from where I disengaged. 👀 I can only assume this is Tesla AI investigating this situation closely as it could be dangerous. It is also really impressive that they are on the case within 2 days of it happening, in a college town a couple hours from Houston and Austin. I am super happy to see this Tesla, thank you. Even if it is a coincidence, I like to see testing in College Station, the home of the Aggies! 👍 The Cybercab is shown in the aparment garage and outside the apartment when I first spotted it:

Curious your thoughts on this one. FSD did not react at all to vehicles squealing their tires and swerving out of the way. This is a pinch point in the highway where two lanes merge. I mashed the brakes to avoid being involved in the mess, which allowed another driver to use my spot to avoid a potential rear ending. I saw folks slamming the brakes far earlier than I pressed the brakes and waited for FSD to react. It did not.

Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan and response time that FSD is capable of. Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. I really hope Tesla AI will fix this overreaction issue in future FSD updates 🙏🏼 On a divided highway with a concrete barrier, my Tesla suddenly veered right toward the shoulder and abruptly slowed down just because an emergency 🚨 vehicle was approaching from the opposite direction. There was zero risk of interaction. This unnecessary maneuver is actually more reckless than simply staying in lane and maintaining speed. I had to press the accelerator to prevent cars from rear-ending my Tesla.

Welp...FSD(V13.2.2) smacked right into a curb on the Cybertruck today...Both wheel caps are destroyed. I have re-watched the footage many times at this point and I am still puzzled as to why FSD decided to veer to the right. Quite frankly unacceptable behavior. To be abundantly clear, there was no one around me that would make FSD want to steer out of the way, I was not distracted at all and supervising the vehicle the entire time, and there was NO time to react to avoid this incident.. Thankfully no one was injured, and there seemingly is no additional damage to the vehicle or the wheels themself. Tesla AI team (Wes too), please feel free to use my vehicle's telemetry data or any additional data to look into this to avoid this happening in the future if you so choose. (DM me if any further info is needed) This is incredibly disappointing to me. I understand this is a "supervised" software but dang, does it sting when there is nothing you could have done to avoid this (Other than not using the software at all). To be clear, I still believe in the FSD mission, but I will not be using the software until the next revision. Lastly, and in some better news, the Tesla North America Ridgepoint service location did an incredible job at quickly checking my truck to make sure its safe to drive, and getting me some wheel covers IMMEDIATLY! As always, I appreciate you Ridgepoint team!

Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.
