Below is our open-source arm assembled by one of the discord members! Also, today Physical Intelligence shared their incredible top-notch robotics model Pi0. And I just want to remind you that you can use our arm together with this model and with LeRobot The arm has the same DOF as the arm used by Pi0, but has smaller size and cost starts from 200$ per arm. You can use better motors like we did in our demos, then it will be more precise and stable but the price will be about $600 per arm. Printable files, purchase list, and help with the assembly - in our discord channel.

Grippers and robot hands are often underestimated, and they are the actuators behind correct and accurate picking, or placing. This robotic hand was created at the Korea University of Technology and Education. 🇰🇷 The 5-finger, 12-DoF (degrees of freedom) robotic hand features 3-DoF each for the thumb, index, and middle fingers, while the ring and little fingers share a combined 3 DoF. It uses BLDC motors with ball-screw actuators and includes a clutch mechanism to absorb impacts and prevent overload. Now, a challenge for you - guess the year! To me, microduck looks like a droid. So I made it sound like one Microduck is open source and hackable. That means you can program it to do whatever you want! I trained a 1.3m parameter LLM to output droid like responses. It is running in the browser The model has learned to respond with an emotion, alongside English like Happy, Excited, Sad Then the emotion is fed into a Rust based synthesizer to generate R2D2 like sounds that are aligned with the emotion --- completely procedurally, no wav files, no copyright violation You can chat with it. You can also customize it, give it a name and set your own colors! All set in a spaceship hangar backdrop with other friendly ducks---simulated with realistic physics and microduck's actual walking and skating policies! All in the browser, with WASM!!! I can put literally the SAME code in the browser, and then compile it into an ARM binary and put it in the actual robot in real life 🤯 If you like this and want to see more of it, please like and share so that my boss puts me in the priority list for the first microduck batch 😎 All open source of course! Octopus inspired robot! 🐙 Researchers at the National University of Singapore have created a streamlined octopus-inspired swimming robot capable of replicating the animal’s agile movement through water.
