it is surreal that building this kind of thing costs you couple of dollars. it's basically "free" if you have a subscription. literally alien technology up to 3 years ago

I wonder if theres some kind of bias here. Either 1. They're optimizing new models for these tests that are appearing as they release or more likely 2. We're picking/making tests that (subconsciously) favor not the biggest model Because I doubt Fable is already this surpassed

I think even gpt 5.5 can get an output like the one on the left if you prompt it "make a buiulding tht is 3 stores tall, beige color, has castle-like details on the top, rows of black windows, a central stricture that is beige with no windows and a door", the issue is harness.

half the price for a peer model is the only chart most teams actually open. if quality holds under real workloads, Fable's premium gets harder to defend on cost alone.

Opus 5 seems slightly better at getting the details right. But the real advantage is how much cheaper it is.

Opus clearly a bit better but you still have cars going through buildings
