The Airbus Primary Flight Display (PFD) features a "rising ground" depiction (also known as terrain or brown/green topographical mapping) on the attitude director indicator (ADI). This provides pilots with improved situational awareness by visually representing rising terrain relative to the aircraft’s current altitude. This is my ideal tornado range. Sometimes ill move in closer, and sometimes ill hang farther back...but to me the sweet spot is when I am able to be OUTSIDE of the vehicle, still close range and feeling the elements. The tornado is close enough I can see the ground contact clearly while needing to look UP to see the top of it, really putting its size into perspective. Being outside of the vehicle when its close is a whole different feeling. You're more exposed to the power, and more humbled by it. Being inside the vehicle for me, even if I'm closer, lacks that connection.

HOLD FIRE while targeting to move the marker further away and HOLD ALT FIRE to move it closer. RELOAD to toggle targeting view. REACTIVATE to Shield the water Smoke, blocking any bullets that hit it. For now, I'll show one last video of the project in its pre-alpha stage. I reworked the collision code so Wario can rotate on slopes like in WLSI. I also updated the water effect to appear more... watery lol. And now there's sound! No more deathly silence lol.

I have been cleaning my daughter's mess for more than two years now. Last weekend our robot came to home to do the job for me. 🤖 Our new work on visual whole-body control learns a policy to coordinate the robot legs and arms for mobile manipulation. See how the legs bend on grasping objects on the ground based on visual inputs autonomously. (It is NOT teleoperation!) We again adopt a Sim2Real approach and our policy generalizes to beaches, forests, and streets in San Diego. 👇🧵
