It's such a time (and nerve) saver for hard surface meshes. Not a silver bullet, but it fills a big niche.

100% Fixing a voxel remesh highpoly during a bake feels like reloading a save file when the boss is at 3% health.

Managed to reverse engineer the Dark Souls water shader. They use a deferred target for a water heightmap and construct the displacement normal based on that. Fun stuff.
