There will be no lower age limit for the NHS puberty blocker trial, and even vulnerable children with anxiety and ADHD will not be exempt. This is clearly state-sponsored child abuse that will have negative, irreversible effects on our children, and it must be stopped.

The Labour Party doesn’t want 16 or under accessing social media. Meanwhile, an 11 year old, according to the Labour Party, does have the mental capacity to decide that they are not a boy or that they are not a girl, that they’ve been born in the wrong body and that they can irreversibly alter the way that their body grows their sexual organs by stopping and blocking puberty chemically. So an 11 year old can make that decision. But at the same time, a 16 or 15 year old can’t access social media. Helen Joyce explains this best. I would just add, these parents have made a bet that their children will never realize it’s a mistake on their own accord. It’s inevitable that many of these children will detransition. When that happens, these parents are going to have to deal with incredibly resentful and fearful grown children, children who have to process what their parents did to them.
