Playing Carmageddon through the reverse engineered port called Dethrace is pretty amazing. Now I can play it without having to emulate through Dosbox or using the old Windows 95 version, great stuff.

I mean. I have no idea how you find all these sourceports/enhancement projects, but I love it!

First PC game I ever had. I was 8 years too young to play it and somehow tricked my Mum into buying it.

I like the idea of this game however your vehicle handles like an Arctic oil tanker from the 80's.

No, currently It only supports Keyboard, so you need a third party tool to map a Gamepad

This game gave the value of a 3D accelerator and Pentium processor back in the day, %100.

Carmageddon had great car damage, and gameplay. My favourite way to finish is wasting five vehicles.

Nice port, but lack of any options/QOL is kinda disappointing (you can't even turn down super loud engine volume, "hi-res" support only through command line, no bilinear filtering line in 3dfx version etc)

Development is still in ongoing process, the plan is to get the source code 100% matching the original game and the author is already working in the 3DFX mode And there's a command line that allows you to change the volume, Just launch the game with --sound-options
